Reconnecting with my best friend from high school over a passion fruit mojito. It's like we never lost touch. She still "get's me" As we were reminiscing she made me realize that in many ways I haven't changed that much. The core of who I am was the same back then as it is now. Always the deep thinker.
Here is another new pair of blue tinted prescription zennis. Will show you 3 more in the next couple of days.

I recently visited Chai ki- super excited to try one of the few halal places in that area of Canary Wharf. But oh how I was let down.... So I think chai ki is separated into a bar menu and a restaurant menu, I had gone intending to order from the restraurant menu but they said it was closed despite it being pretty early.
The staff assured me that the on the bar menu the chicken and lamb were both halal, but I opted for more veggie dishes and my friend got a portion of the burnt chilli chicken to try.
What’s on the table:
2 mojitos- I got the virgin mojito because I’m boring and honestly it wasn’t that amazing, it turned into lemon water after a few sips. I can’t remember which one my friend got but they enjoyed theirs.
Masala fries- these were just fries with some seasoning powder on time, it wasn’t great I would’ve even preferred plain chips to that seasoning.
Behl puri- this was honestly the most dry dish there if not one of the driest dishes I have ever eaten. It was like eating chevra (if you know what that is) but it just wasn’t great or worth the £6.50 at alllllllllll.
Next was the chilli paneer- this was the only dish that was okay. The chilli paneer wasn’t saucy it was served on a bed of sautéed peppers and some other salad and that was where most of the flavour came from ... the salad underneath. We asked for the paneer to be extra spicy but somehow it was extra mild LOOL.
Burnt chilli chicken- I didn’t try this but my friend said it was ok.
I was really excited to try this place and had high hopes but those were crushed. I don’t think I will be going back anytime soon tbh, I feel as though none of the food was cooked fresh and the service wasn’t anything amazing.
If you’ve been what has your experience been like and do you think there’s a huge difference between the quality of the restraurant cooking and the bar menu?
