One of the lessons I’ve learned in 2018 is that... SHIT. TAKES. TIME.⏰🤷🏻♂️ ⠀
❌ DON’T RUSH FOR RESULTS ❌ ⠀
As long as you have a plan and you’re following it, the results will come. ⠀
Just don’t be expecting anything to happen if you didn’t plan(t) any at all 😅😂. ⠀

The beginning of a 3-day weekend with clear skies in the forecast is a great reason to smile! 😁☀️

#marriedtoamillennial who is always being nice
Being nice is an option! I always try to be nice. If I can offer help, I would definitely do. And I didn’t do anything, I felt guilty! However, sometimes, we mistake being nice with pleasing other people. I tried so hard to make them pleased, and it turned out that I just distressed myself.
Now I realize that this is the open world and there are more people who can do better things than I do. Know your limits. Say NO if you have to. You both will be at better positions and they would appreciate it even more.
HAPPY WEEKEND! Let's talk about saving when you have a credit card balance to pay down...what's the deal? ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
After I shared my current budget yesterday, a couple of people asked me how I balance saving when also paying off a credit card. It's a good question, and obviously as I'm posting this I have a humdinger of an answer 😂⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
One of the first money books I really sunk my crooked teeth into (lol RIP me) was Broke Millennial by Erin Lowry – @brokemillennialblog. One of the key things I took from her words was a phrase that said 'Pay Yourself First'.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
To me, that means if you're really committed to changing your money mindset, you'll pay yourself some savings as well as paying down any debts. The reason being – life happens. If you throw all your money at debt, at some point, you'll need that money, and end up having to use credit. Basically, you never break the cycle of relying on credit to bail you out. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
So as you'll have seen in yesterday's post, I pay 20% of my income to paying down my credit card, and 20% goes into savings. That way, when I need to pay for something, I don't immediately reach for plastic. You can essentially cut up your credit card(s) and focus solely on paying it off. I feel much more in control of my money this way, and in all honesty, my credit card debt doesn't bother me at all. It's a symbol of a mindset I've left behind, and I've just got that little bit of work left to do to get rid of it. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Do you pay yourself first?!⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Ps this pic is major fake news because I have no idea how I made myself look so petite. I'm actually 5ft 7 ins and a curvy size 12 😂 #ownit⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
missing my lil @jlipsss questioning all my words and actions at every turn (jk don’t miss that part) and not judging me for when I showed up to every interview having just rolled out of bed ❤️ #temptationisland#productionfriends
A quick throwback to some heat in Cyprus. Sorting a villa out soon for a home to go to for some sun.

Ready to get into your first home sooner?
I have partnered with the Smart Home Deposit Team to help you transform your finances and boost your savings to get into your first home quicker.
There is an official launch party on the 24th of January in Melbourne and we would love for you to attend.
On the night you can expect to learn more about my program (MoneySmarts: Finance Transformation) and more about how the Smart Home Deposit works and if it’s a good fit for you.
One of the things I am very excited about is the development of a fully integrated online system taking you from savings right through to settlement – this is something that will make life so much easier for first home buyers (myself included) who can find the whole process quite daunting!
By joining the Smart Home Deposit during development of this online system, you can be a voice at the table and provide input on its design to make sure it makes buying a home as seamless as possible for you, and future Millennials /Gen Ys buying their first home.
To register see the event on Eventbrite, @smarthomedeposit or feel free to reach out to me personally and I can answer any questions you may have. Link in Comments.
A year and a half ago I took the time to change my life. I wanted more out of what I was doing, it’s paid off big time. We let people steal our dreams, or they fade away as we grow up. I actually had a teacher in 11th grade who said he loved our age because we were young enough to still believe in our dreams, but it was about the time they were going to be squashed. Not with this life or this company. Never once did I buy into his philosophy. I kept my path to purse mine, and it brought me @arbonne and because of them I’ve dreamed bigger than ever, and I am creating my life by design. I’ve never been more empowered to give this away to other people to help them in the way it helped me. I am so proud to wear this watch and drive my Mercedes paid for by @arbonne. They are truly leading the way in social marketing and making an impact to give back in the world. Spot my ring cause we are on the road to NVP & change as many lives as possible. Thank you a million. What are your dreams?

Amazing signing day for my buddy @super_sonji ! What first started as a joke turned into reality! He first bought his A’ali’i unit a couple of months ago and after I told him “Hey you should buy another unit to live in now while you wait for your condo to be built!” as a joke. However, after looking into his situation, he agreed!
I went to work and found him a great place to live and eventually turn into an investment property once A’ali’i is finished! Jason, who is active military personnel AND a millennial, I thank you for your service to our country as well as your trust in me in handling this big milestone in your life! 🇺🇸🏡 .
Also big thanks to @myohmyitsreynsugai Reyn Sugai of Bank of Hawaii for helping out with the process too! .
When you work with my team and me, we will CARRY YOU through the process, literally. 😂 .

What is your business?
We offer university students the chance to rent the latest technology at an affordable monthly price. We want to make our customers lives easy, so offer the chance to split the cost between housemates, and to move their products to their new house when they change accommodation at the end of the academic year.
How did you start your business and how long have you been going?
We started the business back in 2014 as an online sales and rental website, but noticed a much greater interest in the rental side. As a result, we adjusted our business plan to focus predominantly on rentals.
What are you goals for your business?
Our goals for the business are to expand into universities across the UK, and to be the first company people think of when furnishing their accomodation.
What has been your biggest achievement?
Our biggest achievement has been the positive feedback we have received from our customers, who have complimented the cost and ease of our rental service.
If you could give one piece of advice to someone starting out, what would it be and why?
Find the demand, never give up, and always listen to your customers, as without them, you won't succeed.
I play John Brooke.
For me, he is a hard working, educated man trying to have a slice of life that is in line with the principles of his country. He is strong, and proud, and willing to fight for freedom; for himself and for others. He finds the bravery to fight for a better tomorrow in his love for Meg. The promise of their love gives him strength.
John is kind and decent. It’s my pleasure to play him.

A nice cup of tea, journaling my goals and tasks, and a little extra "boss" motivation is all I need 😉

Hello! It's been a while since I've posted. I've been super busy, and frankly, pretty overwhelmed lately. Other than knowing I had too much on my plate, I couldn't figure out what my deal was, until last week.
On Sunday, I read the amazing article written by @annehelenpetersen through @buzzfeednews "How Millennials Became the Burnout Generation". While reading this piece, I'd never felt more validated about an experience I thought I was facing alone. It digs deep into why so many of us feel completely paralyzed and overwhelmed by the tasks we and society have set for us. Over our whole lives, we've internalized the idea that we need to be as productive, hardworking, and efficient as possible, in other words, working all the time.
We're subtly expected to be able to do everything, all the time, and be good at it. Have a full-time job (or if you're lucking, a career), a side hustle, a family, a relationship, friends, an Instagramable home, healthy exercise and eating habits, all while navigating health insurance, paying bills, doing the dishes, doing laundry, keeping your home in working order, and answering every email, text, and notification that floods your life. We're expected to do all of that, and do it well, and if we can't, we're a failure and filled with self loathing and anxiety.
I know everyone feels burned out from time to time. It's also not exclusively a millennial condition. It's a part of every generation, culture, and demographic. Although, millennials are the first group that was raised purely on this idea that in order to be successful, you have to be the best all the time.
This burnout isn't something that can be easily fixed, as it's a condition within ourselves and our society, but what we can do, and what has greatly helped me, is being aware and admit that it's happening. So if this is how you feel, please go read @annehelenpetersen 's article, be open about your experience, and share my graphic if you'd like.

nineteen, to a year full of one-night stands
Hi hi! Sharing a squinty-eyed, sunny morning pic of Barcelona 🌞 And I’m sharing a few more of Barcelona on stories!
I’ve been on a little fast as I’ve been trying to figure out what I want 2019 to look like and what I’d like to include in my life this year. Last year was awesome and I grew in so many exciting ways, but I also felt like the least productive person ever.
We were so so glad to spend the end of 2018 and beginning of 2019 in Europe!! I was inspired by everything I saw and felt and experienced and really didn’t want that feeling of being inspired everyday to leave. We binged Marie Kondo, enjoyed the simple, cozy Scandinavian atmosphere (hygge life, y’all 😉), and took in the beauty of our surroundings. And I decided to really focus in on what I want our everyday to feel like.
Here are a few of the changes I’ve decided to make in my everyday life:
- waking up early for a morning routine, which includes spending time with the Lord first, drinking a huge glass of water, making our bed, and getting ready for the day
- actually doing the things I’ve scheduled for myself on my calendar and not getting distracted by my phone and memes 😯
- saying no to opportunities that don’t align with my current goals. A person can only do so much in one day and last year there were times I really felt like I had too much on my plate. I’m trying, this year, to do a few things really well, so I don’t spread myself too thin.
- setting boundaries and disciplining myself so I can minimize my anxiety. Meaning not spending time on social media at 10 pm, but allotting myself time during the work day to spend growing this little community.
Obviously, I’m not perfect at these, but changing these few things and working on self-discipline has already helped how I feel so far!
If you made it to the bottom, thanks for reading friends 💛 are you working on any self-improvements for 2019?

Today I had a day off from work, so for me it felt like Saturday. But hey, lucky me, because the weekend did actually just start. Enjoy your weekend! 💛💫
