I found myself in a location so much more exciting than any amusement park I’ve ever visited. I couldn’t get enough of the magnificent view. If only could I predict the feeling, I would have planned to spend all day admiring Porta Nuova, the contemporary soul of Milan.
The UniCredit Tower is the tallest skyscraper in Italy. It is entirely covered with LED, the spire in addition to having a constant night lighting, can take on different colors depending on the recurrence. How cool’s that?
Porta Nuova won the first place in the Best Urban Regeneration Project - MIPIM Awards 2018, which honors the most outstanding and accomplished projects, completed or yet to be built, around the world.

It took about 600 years to finish the construction of Duomo di Milano.
Did you know that Candoglia #marble used for the Duomo is slightly pink in colour?
Have you ever been a #tourist in a #cemetery ? I have, and more than once. I even have a (somewhat) funny story about Montparnasse Cemetery in Paris.
Cimitero Monumentale in Milan is a place full of various artistic tombs and monuments, the resting place of famous people like Alessandro Manzoni or Arturo Toscanini.
In this photo you can see the Famedio, the main memorial #chapel of the cemetery.
University of Milan has a long, complicated #history
It used to be a hospital for the poor back in the day, and during World War II it sustained serious damage from #bombing
There is #superstition involved, too - that green patch of grass mustn't be stepped on by students or else they don't graduate. Obviously, on graduation day nobody cares anymore. Guess what happens then? 😆
