Most of the time when I find a Cathrineholm piece these days, it's either beat up beyond recognition or so expensive I'm almost afraid to go near it... but then I spotted this sweet little bowl at an estate sale last week: the price was right, the condition was nearly perfect, and the marvelous mustard-y color couldn't be cuter. 💛 This was definitely one of those finds that made my whole day! We made the pilgrimage

First we went to the @sfmoma exhibit and caught up on our history, they have a temporary exhibit right now then explores the architecture and design of the area. Then we drove the three hour trek up to @searanchlodge and were not disappointed. As soon as we saw the marker building, we pulled the car over and were met with feelings of excitement and tranquility.

Purchased a November 66 Schwinn Fastback from the original owner on Thursday. This bike has a crazy back story. The seller said that his Dad was the Chief of Police in Shreveport, LA back in the 60s and his Uncle was behind a lot of the corruption in town. As a front, his Uncle opened a bike shop to hide all of his unscrupulous activities. Even though the bike shop was a front, he still sold bikes and this resulted in the seller and his siblings always ending up with the top of the line Schwinns. That’s definitely the wildest story I’ve had with a bike purchase to date!
