Had a good reminder today. I went to the post office, which more often than not, as many of you can attest, is an infuriating experience. Anyway today was no exception. And after having a go at the poor lady working there, I took a deep breath and apologized. She kindly said, “it’s okay we all have bad days.”. Truth was, I was having a great day, but I let my lack of patience get the best of me in that moment. Moral of the story, its the small ans simple things, like this shell that make life brighter. Small and simple things like saying your sorry. It releases the negativity that will otherwise stay with us and we don’t need that crap. So just swallow you’re pride and say sorry as often as is required, and you’ll feel a whole lot l better about life! 💕

“You have brains in your head, and feet in your shoes. You can steer yourself any direction you choose.
You're on your own and you know what you know.
And you are the one who'll decide where to go.” DR. SEUSS
I love this time of year because it’s so full of hope. The bright shiny kind. The kind that hasn’t been tarnished by the inevitable pains and disappointments of life.
Every year I pick a word or a symbol as a guide and anchor for the coming year. Something I can easily reference, and stick to. Well actually the word or symbol picks me. Yes like the wand in Harry Potter. Anyway, this year through several ways, the word that chose me for 2019 is Hope. (Or at least I think this is my word. Last year it changed a couple months in 😂.) I firmly believe that, “Faith (like hope) without works is dead.”. We can’t just sit back and hope for better things, we have to work for them. And like Dr. Seuss said, we have what we need to “steer us any direction we choose.”. So wherever you are in your journey, Hope and work with me this year. Let’s hope and work for the brightest, most life changing year yet. Let’s believe in ourselves, and our capacity to do good. To change bad habits and to be exactly the kind of people we want to be. We have that power. We have that choice. And we have all the things we need to accomplish it. Happy New Year! 💕Meg
”Do not go where the path may lead, go instead where there is no path and leave a trail.” -Ralph Waldo Emerson
My life has definitely turned into this...unintentionally, but nevertheless true. 😂 When I graduated high school I was quite happy to follow paths that had already been “blazed”. But, no matter how much I tried to walk those paths, they would suddenly end. In the moment it seemed there were no other options, but now I see that I just needed to create my own. And now, however crazy my “path” may seem, my dreams continue to come true on the daily and I find myself so grateful and happy. Grateful that God didn’t give me what I thought I wanted and happy because He has given me so much more. So, if the path you are on suddenly comes to an end, don’t worry, be brave, blaze a new one and leave a trail.💕 #megthewanderess#wander#wanderlust#travel#shiplife#cruiseshiplife#cruising#believe#travelinside
So, after a few setbacks with a broken, then missing hard drive, I was finally able to retrieve my photos. Now I can finally launch my website which I’m so excited for! I’ve learned so much in my travels and can’t wait to share! 🙏🏼 The majority of you wanted to hear about Greece, so that will be my first post! Stay tuned! 💙 #curacao#megthewanderess#wander#wanderlust#travel#travelinside
“Certainly, travel is more than the seeing of sights; it is a change that goes on, deep and permanent, in the ideas of living.” - Miriam Beard
This is why I travel, and why I share. Life is too short! Make memories. Take your hard earned money and gather experiences, because those are the only things that last. 💕
This year and always I’m grateful for small & simple things...like this shell. One of my favorite pastimes is walking along the beaches or snorkeling in search of beautiful treasures from the sea. I found this snorkeling, and it brought me so much joy, until snail residing in it. Little punk. Okay it still brought me joy, I just feel like I’m in constant competition with crabs and snails for the most beautiful shells in the ocean. 🐚 Happy Thanksgiving! #smallandsimplethings#grateful#travel#megthewanderess#wander#wanderlust#bucketlist#shiplife
Imma gonna be real for a minute! I’m guessing my life looks really easy and fun and all adventure and traveling. Well, as much as I’d love to say it is...its not. Well, it’s all of those things sometimes, but it’s also really hard sometimes too, in ways that aren’t always seen by others. Battles I fight quietly and personally. However, I’m grateful for all the battles, because they’ve made me so much more capable and so much stronger than ever before. And even more, I feel like my capacity to love others when it’s hard, has increased. I’m learning that everything we experience can make us stronger and more compassionate if we let it. But, letting it, and trusting the process is the hardest part. So if you are having a hard time letting go and giving into this process we call life, it’s okay. It’s normal. But if you do, you will find your stronger, more compassionate self on the other side. Also forgiveness rocks. K bye! ❤️ #megthewanderess#smile#begrateful#forgive

Many following already know me, but for those who don't, Hi! My name is Megan. Most people call me Meg, Megs or Meggy Moo. I love to sing and travel and now do both by singing on cruise ships. My itinerary this year will take me to Alaska, Hawaii, The Polynesian Islands, Australia and New Zealand. I love photography (@vellagreen), especially when it's spontaneous and B&W. I love surprises, peppermint tea, Pho and cookie dough...not together of course. Strongly dislike social media and phones, but strongly love DWTS @dwtsallaccess. I once danced with the lovely @iamvalc. It was an extremely elegant and romantic rendition of Gangham Style. Favorite music is most music, but more frequently I just enjoy silence or Enya. I am related to Walt Disney, Elvis Presley and Bing Crosby which is encouraging. I'm also related to a gypsy, which explains why I never stay in one place for very long. I'm a bit Irish, British, Danish, Norwegian and Hungarian but am throughly convinced there's a bit of Italian because I am loud, expressive and adore pasta. I recently went sky diving and can't wait to do it again. I am mad about art, architecture, puppies, poppies, lilacs, butterflies, bunnies, llamas, period dramas, antique shops, Palaces, quaint European villages and small cafes! I'm a big nerd and do theatre so I can dress in costumes from every era! I find books on WWII history, nutrition and psychology fascinating. My greatest fears are sharks, snakes, being cheated on and missing out (FOMO). I have a very tender heart so basically anything makes me cry. I love fashion and makeup and dream of creating my own clothing line. I occasionally find myself in front of a camera with @talentmg, which I love, but I also love being behind it. I'm a Mormon and a believer in Christ and I am excited to continue sharing my adventures with you. I will be posting more tips and tricks I've learned while traveling, as well as other random bits and bobs about life and the things that make it beautiful. La vie est belle. Thank you for following me 😌 #wanderer#gypsy#travel#wanderlust#megthewanderess
