MY Meditation basics before I even close eyes
1. Create TIME.
Any time of the day or night it does not matter, tell the people your with, put the kids in front of the tv or wait till they are in bed, turn your phone off... CREATE A DESIGNATED CHUNK OF TIME. 5mins or 50 mins. Whatever you got.
2. Find a SPOT
Look, people are gunna tell you ‘meditating in nature is bliss’ or you must meditate in a quiet spot for success... BULLSHIT. Find a spot FOR YOU. For example, I fucking love nature, I’m a fucking earth faery at heart, but FUCK meditating in the sun. I’m not a fan, hurts my eyes (even when closed) , I get distracted and want to look around anyway.... coz nature is fucking beautiful right?... BUT I DIGRESS.... I love meditating in a dark room. Not very exciting, but it works for me coz I can focus. Do whatever works .... oh and it would be nice if we could meditate in complete silence right? HOT TIP: IT AINT NEVER GONNA HAPPEN. Kids, cars, animals... noise is a part of life. So mix it up. Meditate all over the place. Learn to meditate EVEN WITH THE SOUNDS. SIDE NOTE: Using sounds as PART of your meditation is fucking rad too.
3. Shake the MUTHA FLIPPIN SILLIES OUT.
Ever go to sit/lie down to meditate and you have an itchy nose, something is touching your leg, you have a pain in your arm, why am I not comfortable etc etc..... YUP!!!! So before you sit/lie down JUMP AROUND... STRETCH... make weird faces, scream, yell, cry, laugh... GET IT ALL OUT. Mix and move that energy around. Shake those mother fuckin sillies OUT.
Then you can take a seat + the real fun begins 🧘♀️ ✨

The cost of suppressing emotion and chaos with Ritalin, alcohol, religion, and laughter is the risk we take to make sure we keep breathing. The pursuit of perfection is as asinine as trying to stay alive in this form forever. We make mistakes, f:ok up so to speak, even as we learn what it is to be human, rather than Divine. And the prisons, laws, psychiatric guidelines are not one-size fits all prescriptions; they are thumb rules to get us in a cohesive state, where imperfect beings try to remain family, while preserving the sanctity of freewill. Being a persistent thinker has taken me to depths of insanity and self-inflicted pain where I found out just how flawed I can be. While in hindsight, it costs others, I can only say honestly that it grew my sensitivity to the beauty of humanity, in all its difficulties and shortcomings. Were it not for these teachings, I would be more of a self-righteous prick than I already am today, and I am a Leo . . . If that means anything to you. Were it not for the relentless care of individuals who remain unarmed and unnamed, I would be crazier than I am today. That being said, I am ungrateful for the hell I put people through, and I am beyond grateful for their impact on me personally. The chief of my confidence remains in the source of my existence, the Divine, extended in and through the lives and loves of free agents, humans, beyond myself.

It's funny how people think that moving out into nature, or to an ecovillage or community is the solution to all their 3D matrix problems. I made this mistake as well; when I first moved to the forest from a huge metropolitan city I felt thankful to be removed from the energetic chaos of the world. However, my emotional issues came up with more intensity when I moved somewhere remote, there was no escaping my feelings anymore by losing myself in a crowd, and I was forced to face everything that living in the city allowed me to avoid. It was the hardest year of my life.
Lots of people show up at the #ecovillage I live at also expecting this to be the utopia they've been looking for, the alternative lifestyle that will save them, but from what I've witnessed in now close to a year of living here, is that their "shit" comes up with an even bigger vengeance. It's like being in a close intimate relationship with a group of people, in nature, so not only do your triggers have multiple angles but there isn't much of an escape from them because it doesn't have the endless distractions that the city offers.
The stillness of the air, the quietness of the trees, are your eternal witness. Of course, just like in the city, people get triggered, and they blame the outside when they are unwilling to face themselves, and other people go through immense transformations because they are willing to take it as an opportunity to be with the most difficult, fragile, unseen parts of themselves.
But make no mistake, there is no outer utopia that will save you from yourself. That utopia is built upon your own inner work, shedding all the traumas that your body holds onto, going deep into the core of what you think you are and finding out everything your mind tries to identify as you, isn't. I'm making it sound simple here but finding your true self takes a lot of honest, hard, messy work. No one can tell you what that path will look like. And when all our defences are put down often we find inside of ourselves, there's a child, crying, angry, hurt and scared.
The more I tried to escape the world the more I found out that the thing I was really trying to escape was myself. #meditation
