Worth the 4.45am ⏰. Escaping the camera but not the binoculars: spider and howler monkeys, Guatemalan wood peckers, red-lored parrots, kiskadees, coati mundis, agoutis, and an unidentifiable bright red bird. Thankfully no tarantulas 🕷
All the rainy weather this week makes me want to catch a flight back to Tulum ASAP to lay by the pools, beach, swim, hike and repeat!🌴☀️🍹🥾🧭
Also, how come no one in LA knows how to drive when it rains? Serious question.🤔
“The best view comes after the hardest climb”.
Hiking to the 4000m high summit of the Acatenango volcano was one of the hardest things we’ve ever done. But damn this was so worth it 🌋😍! What’s your most rewarding hike?

📸 This is Tikal, the largest city and archaeological site of the ancient Mayan empire deep in the jungle! The big building on the right was a temple. The small one at the bottom was a place where they played a ball game. And far in the end they offered humans and animals on the round rocks to the gods. Such a magical place to walk around here. Must visit in Guatemala. 😍❤️
Chichen Itzá. A dream came true. One of the seven new wonders of the world. A place you can’t miss when you are in Yucatán. It’s true that it is full of tourists - but not in the morning. We woke up early and it was totally worth it. When the crowds of people arrived, we left.
