Say this 5 times fast.
Day 25 yet again this day started off in a winery, however it did not end in a winery. After finishing my wine tasting at the oldest winery in the country (mission estate), I headed to the longest lettered name in the world. When translated, it forms the sentence "hence the name indicating the hill on which Tamatea, the chief of great physical stature and renown, played a lament on his flute to the memory of his brother." To get to this place I drove along route 52 a stretch of road that was so desolate I rarely saw a car in 4 hours of driving. Making my way to castlepoint I saw a tremendous view and lighthouse before heading into Masterton.
When starting a weight loss journey, you are always highly motivated. Unfortunately for most ,this doesn't last long and your left with a choice. Focus on your goal and ride the wave, or just wait for the next wave of motivation. If your always waiting for the next wave of motivation you wont ter very far. If you want to accomplish something you got to be discipline and dedicated to achieve your goal.
The factors pulling you away to give up and quit are strong. There is always an excuse not to train and all the wrong foods in perfect reach. Have a solid plan, be disciplined and you will see the results which will motivate you more.
Today's #tbt: from 1983, when I was living in New Zealand. These pics were taken during the #Wellington to #Masterton road relay (like a regular track relay except it's on roads and is longer - 64 miles or so in this case). First pic is me paying no attention to both the camera and proper running form (OMG, the arm swing!). Second pic is the tag that ended teammate Tony's leg and started mine. The leg was about 6.5 miles and I averaged 6:01 per mile (sooo close to that elusive 6:00 - maybe all that hair slowed me down). #PhrankieDtbt#running#roadRunning#roadRelay#PortNicholsonRoadrunners#NZ#NewZealand#roadRacing#relays
Prime Minister @jacindaardern met with members of the #Wairarapa#Intergenerational#Playgroup at Glenwood Masonic Hospital in #Masterton today. The group, which encourages new #parents to visit retirement villages with their #babies, was founded to alleviate loneliness by forming connections between the youngest and older generations.
