Oh my goodness guys!!! I can't believe I forgot to post yesterday's 12 Days of Christmas deal!!! This week has been crazy for me, and as Christmas gets closer it is definitely getting busier!!!
Even though being busy gets a little stressful, I am so thankful for the new and existing clients I get to see lately!! 😁😁😁😁😁😁
Anyway, onto what you've been waiting 2 days for....🤗🤗 The first post for Day 3 is about my style of massage. I have posted a video that quickly shows the types of modalities I use in a session. I don't limit my work to one type of massage, I have many different tools to work through my client's tension and stress. This client had lower back tightness and as you can see, we tried stretches, friction circles, ironing and some elbow work, all in one minute! I love listening to my client's needs and trying my best to work out those stubborn areas without hurting my clients. I personally warm up the body thoroughly to get to this depth of pressure with my clients. 😊
Day 4 is all about gift cards!!! My crazy dance in the second video is because those two gift cards have new homes for Christmas!!! 😁😍
I can't explain how exciting it is to have massage as a gift, I love being a surprise! If you know someone who would never buy a gift of massage for themselves, this is a perfect time to do it for them! Check out why below..... HERE'S YOUR DEAL!!!! Because I messed up and didn't post yesterday's deal, I am offering this deal for an extended time. (It was only going to be until Monday)
From now until 12/24/18, if you Buy a Gift Card for $100, you will get $25 in credit to spend on an appointment booked in January!!! Running is a complex coordination process that involves the movement of the entire body.
The phases for running are similar as walking except in running there is no double support phase, which expends a tremendous amount of energy opposing gravity and absorbing shock during take-off and landing.
Running is similar to walking in terms of activity. However, there are key differences.
1. Greater Balance
2. Greater Strength
3. Greater Joint Range Of Motion
Myotherapy can help improve all three of these components. Running for exercise is a great way to maintain good health, but it can also be a source of injury.
Approximately 50 to 75% of running injuries are overuse injuries.
Overuse injuries often occur when a person begins or intensifies a running routine without adequate stretching and muscle conditioning.
Alternatively, a seasoned runner may acquire an overuse injury over several months or even years of training.
MOST COMMON RUNNING INJURIES; •Ankle Sprain
•Achilles Tendonitis •plantar Fasciitis
•iliotibial band syndrome •Patellar tendinitis
THE MAIN RUNNING MUSCLES INCLUDE: •Gluteus Maximus and Medius •TFL
•Iliopsoas •Quadriceps •Hamstrings
•Gastrocnemius •Tibialis Anterior
There are simple exercises you can do pre and post-run to improve body awareness, muscle strength, and joint flexibility that will carry over to a smooth, efficient running stride.

Did you know that massage therapy may be covered by workman's compensation or auto insurance when a prescription is provided by a medical doctor? Orthopedic massage is often a recommended massage technique for such injuries as it treats painful conditions which affect the soft tissue of the body. Consult your doctor to see if orthopedic massage can be used to treat your injuries and be covered by your insurance so you can live pain free!
Had the most magical massage last night at the coziest little hut ✨ [and perfectly timed for my current state 🙏🏼] massages are often viewed as a luxury and rightfully so, but i do think the effectiveness can be underrated. I mean for one thing it’s one of the most relaxing practices ever 💆🏻♀️ but no matter who you are or where you are, i believe strongly that you should try to incorporate massage into your self care routine for preventive health + stress relief.. it doesn’t need to be a full hour with a licensed therapist, a simple foam roller or ice roller can help on a daily basis [or just ask your SO for one 🥰]... Other magical benefits: releases stress, toxins, muscular and fascial tension, relieves pain, stimulates blood circulation and lymphatic drainage, and unblocks energy flow ♾ AKA bliss 💛 #massagetherapy#selfcare#nourishment#lwwj
Reflexology There's a Purpose! "If you're feeling out of kilter
Don't know why or what about
Let your feet reveal the answer
Find the sore spot work it out"
By Eunice D Ingham *Reflexology is a complementary therapy used to help restore and maintain the body's natural equilibrium.
*Reflexology has been shown to be effective for back pain, migraines, infertility, arthritis, sleep disorders, hormonal imbalances, sports injuries, digestive disorders and some stress-related conditions.
*Reflexologists work from a map of predefined pressure points that are located on the hands and feet. These pressure points are reputed to connect directly through the nervous system and affect the bodily organs and glands.
*During a reflexology treatment, compression massage using the side and tip of the thumb will be used on each of the reflex areas. If the part of the body corresponding to the reflex area is out of balance then a degree of tenderness will be felt in the foot when pressure is applied. *Following treatment, it is possible in some instances for certain 'healing reactions' to occur, such as streaming nose, if there is sinus congestion or increased bowel and bladder activity. *Reflexology does not claim to cure, diagnose or prescribe any ailments.
