Esses dias fui fotografado pelo @lzmotaphotos no @comediansclub . O trabalho dele é fantástico, grande fotógrafo de cena! E além de tudo, former cast member, então tudo é feito de forma totalmente mágica!

Post 169: This is Part 3 of my visit to The Wine Vault, located in New York City’s Chelsea markets. It is a teaser for Part 4, in which we leave the upstairs retail wine store and its high-end stereo systems and head downstairs into the turn of the century bomb cellar with its labyrinth of tunnels that leads to many of the buildings in the market area. The downstairs now serves as an event space and a place where some of the world’s most serious wine connoisseurs store their collections. Downstairs has more high-end systems and we were treated to a very special 3D audio demo.
Checkout Parts 1 and 2 (Posts 163 and 166) for photos and the full background and details. And yes—wine and high-end stereo!
From part 1 (Post 158): “Ex wall street tycoon Andrew Hoover, III, who keeps his wine collection in the Vault, is an avid audiophile. He has so much gear at him home that it has overflowed to both the Wine Vault’s retail area and downstairs Vault. There are high-end systems everywhere!!!! Princeton University’s Professor and physicist Edgar Choueiri, founder of Theoretica Applied Physics, gave a private demonstration of his BACCH-SPP 3D technology in the Vault yesterday. Through the professor, Andrew invited me over for an afternoon of wine, high-end Italian fare and 3D stereo. I am finishing up my review of Theoretica’s adio 3D processor now—look for it soon on Soundstage! Ultra.” # #

Post 168: This is it—at least for now—the final of the Pipedream speaker posts. Please see posts 137, 142, 146, 151, and 153 for the full background of this story, including the incredible adventure moving these speakers. Excerpt from Post 1:
In 2017, the President of a local audiophile society forwarded the following e-mail to the society’s members: “I have to leave my home and finding living space capable of handling the [Nearfield Acoustics] Pipedream [speaker system-$75,000 USD when sold] is too much. [They have the] Audax carbon fiber midrange drivers and Pioneer ribbon tweeters as reviewed by Harry Pearson in Absolute Sound. . .. They also have [external] sub-woofers and a pair of fully balanced [external] electronic crossovers. I also have two spare Audax midrange and two spare Pioneer tweeters. . . .
I am happy to give these for free to anyone who will give them a good home as long as the[y] come and move them. They are 8 1/2 feet tall and weigh three hundred pounds apiece and reside on the second floor of my house in a room built to house them. Removing them can only be done by moving them to a balcony and lifting them to the ground with a crane or cherry picker or something similar.” The President received numerous responses to this e-mail and my friend, who responded, found out that he was third in line for the speakers. Weeks went by without word so he thought that someone already had already claimed them. Then he received a call advising that the job was too much for the first two people in line and it was his turn to have a go at it. There wasn't much time because the house where the speakers were located would be sold within days.” # #
As we have seen, the speakers made it safe and sound to my friend’s home, where he enjoys them today. Shown also are the matching 18-inch “Depth-Charge” Nearfield subs. I will be visiting my friend periodically to get more photos. Kudos to him for safely claiming these speakers home. Fortune favors the bold!
