The final blog as part of my master's placement and pt.4 of my #summerofdigging is available to read and access through the link in my bio. Also available at archaeologyorkney.com along with my other blogs from my #archaeologyadventures
over the summer.
This report is on Orkney's largest excavation and the globally renowned @nessofbrodgar as seen on @bbc and @natgeo
Plenty of inside info on daily life at the site which has attracted attention from all over the world, as well as some info on the miniature pots (prehistoric shot glasses still my favourite theory though)🍺😂
For more info check out @uhiarchaeology and @nessofbrodgar on Instagram and Twitter, Friends of the Ness of Brodgar on Facebook, and www.nessofbrodgar.co.uk
Patrick O'Brien took the lemons life handed to him and turned them into art.
He ambitiously takes old objects and gives them a new purpose to literally light up the room.

p.s. do you know what song the title comes from?
Northern Ireland is rather unique. Upon arrival, I was with a proper family dinner. Took a view of the city center along with where the Titanic was built and launched. The perfect end to a long trip. #belfast#luckoftheirish#onlyinireland#holiday
Driving along the border of Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland was an exercise in reversing safely. Constantly came across scenes like this and I had to stop it, back it up & reverse it. [Insert your totally-PG-driving-related version of Missy Elliott lyrics here.] Swipe to see the view from this lovely cottage’s windows... #loveireland#discoverni

Only a few more seats available on Thursday 27th Sep for this fab dinner. A night of Irish charm and that kind of light hearted Sicilian humour from our one and only @lino_sauro 🤣
Don't be sorry you missed out... book now!
I've been here just over five months and I've gotta say I still don't mind the DFAC (dining facility) food. I've weaned myself off the straight diet of jalepeño poppers, mozzarella sticks, and double cheeseburgers with a slice of cake and a scoop of salted caramel ice cream, to a healthier option of made to order eggs and veggies. But I will be indulging on some wonderful American food when I get back!
When I was a wee baby in my buggy, @jeannieg42 took me to visit my grandma at work, in the cloakroom at @instituteofdirectors.
Felt like some good old Killarney magic was at work tonight, arriving at the Institute for the @highprofileclub event, wearing Nanny’s “hedgehog ring” - had to stop and take a picture here.
And wouldn’t you know: met a fantastic lady running a social enterprise who happens to be lecturing on an Exec Ed course at my business school. Her beloved grandma passed away last year and was definitely cheering her on as she starred on a magazine cover celebrating her work! #GrandmasFriendMatchmakingFromOnHigh#LuckOfTheIrish#KillarneyMagic
