This weekend was full. A wedding, a half birthday to celebrate, a concert, a Sunday school class to teach... it was all so good and filled my heart, and at the same time I welcomed Monday. (3 years ago I’d be shocked at myself for saying that. 😂)
I’m so thankful to be doing life with this guy. I’m so thankful for kids to teach and a sweet church to serve. Im so thankful for the opportunity to work at home in the bits of time. I’m so thankful for date nights and cozy nights at home. God has been so kind to us!!!
Today I had the pleasure of doing a bridal trial for a woman I have known for over 15 years now! At the end of her trial she gave me the biggest hug & told me she loved her hair. This is why I love what I do. It is such an honor to be a apart of her special day! I can not wait for her wedding this weekend, she is going to look absolutely beautiful! #dowhatyoulove#lovewhatyoudo#stlhairstylist#stlweddingstylist#mypassion
I love before and after photos to show the difference lash extensions can make! These are volume lashes that accentuate her eyes perfectly and are not excessively long or full. A perfect look for day to day wear without the need for eye makeup!❤️🦋💋
How well do you take care of yourself?
I spent a very long time investing my energy in so many people around me and subsequently forgetting about investing in myself. What I learned was I would hit burn out very quickly and often start resenting my work. I realised in order to serve others from a healthy place my first Power of Purpose mission had to be investing my energy, my time and loving care into myself. Only when I am valuing myself can I be of value to others.
If we start pursuing our purpose from a place of lack it will create lack and we will more than likely begin to resent our calling. I’ve also learned that I must pursue my purpose from a place of self love first as everything I want to give must already be within me. It’s from this place of abundance that I can give abundantly.
I now regularly take very good care of my personal, mental and soul needs by making time for the things in life that nourish my well being like yoga, meditation, walks around the beach, photography and so much more.

We had our 15 year anniversary last month (which we both totally forgot about). Seems like a lifetime ago, yet it all passed in a flash.
Love you, @therogercross - now get your butt back home! We all miss you terribly!
I just love supporting small, local businesses!
