A poem for the recent events:
I heard a poem once
About queer peoole being like glow in the dark stars
About wanting to glow in broad daylight
Impossible, I know
Luckily for us it's a dark world so we don't have to fo the impossible
Opressers will talk about us and over us
We are forced to scream over them
That out bodies
Do not lessen who we are as people
Or make us inhuman and sinful
They use a verse against us
Men shall not lie with men
It wasn't men, it was boys
And talk to me when you dont want
To pray my mere existence away
I have been to sleepovers where we comfort one another
My friendships are pieced together
By talking eachother out of suicide
Desperate pleas to stay alive
Because mothers don't love queers
Because fathers use that name
The name that was once forced off the tongue in your own mouth
We only have eachother now
Because even our government says fuck you
Dysphoria is an illness
But not how you think
It is not solved by pills and frills
But by a surgery to alter the outside to match the inside
I am sorry
That your beliefs are more important than the kids
The ones who crush their ribcage
Just to feel normal
Or the ones who opt to replace ace bandages
With razor blades and kitchen knifes
Slitting wrists until the heartache fades
Or the rope around their neck as they swing in a pink room filled with dolls
As you bury your son in a dress because he had "girl parts"
If we died, would you still hate us so much? ................

To my trans friends, you will NEVER be erased and I am aching with you at the pain this world has thrust upon you. You are VALID. You are SEEN. You are HEARD.
To everyone else, this administration is fucking dogshit. PLEASE FOR THE LOVE OF ALL EQUALITY, GO VOTE IN NOVEMBER. Mid term elections are so damn important, y’all. Now more than ever we need to stand up instead of lay down, speak up instead of be silenced and exercise our RIGHT to vote down this outdated administration’s mentality.

"Do you know what tomorrow is?! It’s the beginning on early voting!! You’ve got the next 2 1/2 weeks to make your voice heard! There is absolutely no excuse for you not to go out and vote! Go to and check your polling information. You can check where it is you need to go and what you need to take to the polls. Let’s make a difference this midterm election. Let’s show this administration that we do not stand for any kind of discrimination! Together we stand!! #govote#lovetrumpshate#transrightsarehumanrights#nomorehate"

All hands on deck. The evil Trump administration is going to try and define transgendered people out of existence and define gender at birth. This is horrific. VOTE NOVEMBER 6th. #fucktrump#vote#lovetrumpshate 🏳️🌈
#angelniece#sunset#london Words can’t express how torn I feel internally!!! Being here in the USA, to raise my Boy, who is unequivocally my absolute 🌎, is still NOT without tremendous sacrifice! I miss my family and life long friends DAILY, and while I seldom post negative things about my state of mind on social Media, this months been TOUGH!!! I LOVE my family and friends more than words could ever convey!!!!! #lovetrumpshate
Trans Family: I am here for you and I pledge to fight for you. This bullshit, puny, bigoted and crumbling administration is no match for us — no match for LOVE. Everyone should donate what they can to Translifeline.org or Aliforneycenter.org (etc. etc.) #lovetrumpshate#transrightsarehumanrights#bluewave
UK fans, you only have until Friday to fill out the government's consultation on reforming the Gender Recognition Act. This is basically the UK government asking, "Do you think that we should recognise trans people's right to self-identity?" And I hope the many cis allies among you will answer with a resounding, "Yes!" (I also hope that you find other ways to be an ally in this atrocious time in the British media's attitude to trans identities).
Head on over to @stonewalluk and click on the link in their bio. That will take you to a simple guide to help you fill out the consultation. Stonewall are also rightly pushing for the GRA to recognise non-binary humans. The butterfly one might be my favourite drawing I've done.
[Image description of the first image: a beautiful, hand-drawn butterfly with purple wings is in flight against a pink background. The butterfly is talking to a snail. The butterfly says, "Hello, I am a butterfly." And the snail replies, "Hello caterpillar. You are a caterpillar." Underneath, the caption reads: transphobia.]
