Saltwell park this morning with grumpy, grumpier and the dogs 😉 although they cheered right up when we went to see the parrots, who were saying hello, and then imitating human whistles and clicking, but what really made the boys day was when 2 old ladies were saying hello to one of the parrots and it replied with "f**k off" in a very clear loud voice 😱 it had to be the funniest thing I've ever witnessed 😂 they were rather mortified!! Hahahaha 😂 there were also a parrot living harmoniously with a chicken see one of the pics the chicken is actually perched in the parrots cage while the parrot is sat on the cage door 😂 not sure what the "jam sandwiches" memorial plaque was for but we thought it was fab 💕💕💕 it's so lovely here we really don't go often enough 💚 #teenagers#ronnieandreggie#painintheass#saltwellpark#thegreatoutdoors#gooutdoors#loveoutdoors#northeastengland#springerspaniels#parklife
Sleeves and leggings this morning. I always feel a little sad at this time of year, along with a sense of urgency to spend more time outdoors anywhere. Gardening, walking, riding my bike, running, or at the beach, all the things I’ll be yearning to do when it’s cold and need layers. It’s so easy to step outside in a minimum of clothing when temps are warm. But when there’s snow... I’ll be happy on x/c skis! #bittersweet#endofsummer#summerasburypark#lovesummer#getupkeepmoving#loveoutdoors#gooutside#thisis65
Birds of prey are considered 'indicator species', this is because we can understand the impact of pesticides, habitat loss, and drought by studying their numbers and behaviours.
Furthermore, they play a very important role the in environment and ecosystems because they help control and sustain population levels of many species.
Characteristics shared by birds of prey include: powerful tallons for gripping prey; sharp, curved beaks to tear food; and good eyesight to spot prey from the skies.
Continuing the colour and outdoors themes today for #colourmyeveryday challenge. I have a real thing for photographing flowers, particularly yellow ones, I just can't walk past a bright bloom! I'd much rather see them bobbing about in the breeze than wilting in a vase.

Trying to explain to our son that it’s not always shorts weather when as far as he’s concerned it’s Summer because it’s August.
☀️ Although for us marshmallows toasted on an open fire is definitely we do when the weather turns and he is already very much looking forward to that.
Do you do different things which may demonstrate that it is a different season?
Thank you all for joining in with the hashtag - there’s over 19 thousand pictures linked up now and @beckygoddardhill has even published a book on being happy!!! 📖

We’re loving exploring all the beaches here. Climbing the rocks, dipping into the rock-pools and finding treasures along the shoreline. It felt a little strange to begin with that we’re quite isolated out here with no hospitals etc whilst climbing the rocks (not the ones in this photo🙄) But after a while you relax and immerse yourself in the relaxed way of living out it. It’s incredible - so chilled out! #islandlife

Step 2 find a thirsty puppy
Step 3 quench puppy’s thirst
Repeat Stepd 1-3 as long as everyone involved are having fun and/or are thirsty 😂

I often talk about being yourself and loving who you are. ❤️So maybe I should tell you who I am.😉
• I am strong mentally and physically yet I still have many weaknesses. • I am a work in progress (and always will be as I believe we should all continue to grow). • I am a mom of 3 boys (13, 10, 8).
• I am a wife to a man who drives me insane and I drive him mad yet I couldn’t imagine life without him. • I love adventures but hate long car rides. • I like to run and workout, and I enjoy the challenge of OCRs. • I love sloths and unicorns. Sloths have life figured out, take your time, enjoy the ride, and always smile! Unicorns are glitter and rainbows and remind you life is magical!
• I was diagnosed with ADHD as an adult after thinking I was just freakin bat shit crazy for years!
• I have a passion for helping others find their inner strength and change their lives. • I love sports, the outdoors, learning, and exploring. • I am pretty much an open book. You want to know me? Stick around. I’m sure you’ll learn. Or just ask. 😊
Who are YOU?
