#ireland#loughouler And this lake is really heart ❤️ shape! P.S. I want to remember that tiny boy from the way back and his ‘I've never felt the dog before, can I feel her?’ and ‘My dad bought me a guitar because he loves me’. All day full of ‘hearty’ moment from it beginning till late evening :)
The famous heart shaped lake of Wicklow surrounded by the beginnings of a purple haze as Ling Heather comes into flower.
Lough Ouler was created during the last Ice Age. The
name Ouler derives from Iolar, which is the Irish for eagle, suggesting that in the past eagles nested in the area.
Highly recommend hiking Lough Ouler in County Wicklow. Otherwise know as the heart shaped lake. Unreal views of all around the Wicklow Way and the hike itself is not too difficult. Takes about 2/3 hours. Great way to spend a Sunday👌🏻❤️
This is Keem Bay, a stunning remote beach on Achill Island in County Mayo on the west coast of Ireland. As we drove towards the bay, the mass of grey clouds suddenly parted, turning the water this glorious colour. This is only a few miles from the beach at Dooagh, which reformed in 2017 30 years after being washed away in an Atlantic storm. We loved the remote, wild feel of Achill - the very first place I visited in Ireland.
