DO KETONE DIETS WORK? - Ketone bodies are an important part of every day metabolism and play a key role in the adaptation to starvation permitting survival for up to 6 months with no food but adequate water, vitamins and minerals. The ketone bodies are made in the liver from fatty acids carried to the liver by proteins. Ketone bodies unlike fatty acids are soluble in water and can travel to the brain and other organs through the blood stream to be burned for energy. In starvation, the body switches to a fat-fuel economy burning ketone bodies instead of amino acids from your body protein. This metabolic switch increases survival during famine and starvation from 1 to 6 months or longer if there is a little food around. You begin to make more ketone bodies when you sleep and stop eating for 6 to 8 hours, but during starvation ketone bodies are increased in the blood 300 times which is more than any other Metabolite. The above knowledge has been twisted into a false claim for Keto diets. Reducing refined carbs is a good idea but to make ketones, you have to eat less than 100 grams of carbs all day long. You can’t get 7 servings of colorful fruits and vegetables for the phytonutrients you need or the glucose you need during exercise. Ugh, ya girl is struggling 😭 I’ve been battling a sinus infection for about a week and a half now and now has been making it feel better. I almost started crying on my way to a client this morning because my head was pounding so hard, so on the way home I stopped at a CVS minute clinic. Stuck on antibiotics for 10 days 💊😭 but anything is better than this sinus infection 🤕 at least my blood pressure and all other vitals were good 🤷🏼♀️

There’s something so special when you finally feel at peace with where you are headed.

Consistency is key!
You've seen that I am travelling, but that doesn't mean my nutrition and my workouts have to stop!
No, I didn't bring the big weights, but smaller weights are better than missing my workout. Personally, I would have done it even if I didn't bring my weights at all, because YOUR ARMS WEIGH SOMETHING!
I didn't have much room, so I had to adjust my placement for each move. I didn't have my mat so I used a hotel bath towel. I'm wearing my working outdoor shoes because when I get to Texas I'll be loading the trailer, so rather than packing 2 sets, 1 is good.
If you want it, you work for it -- no matter what.

Drinking urine, as it is said, returns mineral salts, hormones and other vital substances to the body after they have been refined. .
Health claims have been made that drinking urine may treat conditions such as cancer, heart problems, infections, acne, hair loss, allergies and more. .
Some proponents of this therapy advise that early morning urine is the best to drink. They also claim that urine is sterile, however, some studies have shown that urine contain bacteria that could be harmful if ingested. .
Now some people are beginning to adopt urine therapy for #weightloss...they are even advised to consume the urine by sipping it like tea and not at a go. .
I am yet to come across any medical evidence to support these claims that drinking #urine would benefit your health in anyway. .
Whether you're trying to #loseweight, undergoing cancer treatment or any other health challenge, be careful not to adopt a 'therapy' that cause more harm to your health. .
And as a dietitian, I definitely wouldn't advise you to drink your own pee for any reason. Ask your your doctor for referral to a #dietitian or reach out to us for dietary management of your health conditions.

در کشور ما از هزاران سال پیش، در دوران باستان جوانه ها و اهمیت استفاده آن ها برای مردم شناخته شده بود. این موضوع به قدری اهمیت داشته که مردم ما استفاده از جوانه گندم را به عنوان یک آیین سنتی همواره در آغاز فصل بهار به شکل سمنو در سفره هفت سین لازم می دانستند. زمانی که گندم جوانه می زند، تغییر شکل داده، تغییرات شیمیایی که در دانه ها در حین جوانه زدن رخ می دهد باعث می شود املاح و ویتامین های آن افزایش یابد به طور کلی در فرایند جوانه زدن ویتامین ها، املاح و پروتئین ها به مقدار زیادی افزایش می یابد در شروع روند جوانه زدن، نشاسته موجود در دانه شکسته شده و به قندهای ساده ی گلوکز و ساکارز تبدیل می شود که این عمل به وسیله آنزیم آمیلاز صورت می گیرد. گندم جوانه زده همچنین دارای ترکیباتی مانند ویتامین A،B1،B6،B12،E، اسید فولیک، کلسیم، فسفر، روی، ید، سلنیوم و منیزیم نیز می باشد که پس از اینکه جوانه به اندازه خود گندم رشد کرد می توان از این مواد بهره برد.
مصرف روزانه و مرتب جوانه گندم به رفع کم خوابی و تقویت حافظه کمک می کند جوانه گندم تازه را هر روز صبح ناشتا به صورت ۱ قاشق غذاخوری خوب جویده و فرو دهید
جوانه غلات دارای مواد مغذی و ضروری است که مصرف آن به بدن سود فراوان می رساند. جوانه غلات سرشار از ویتامین ها و املاح معدنی است که از چروک شدن پوست پیشگیری می کند و غدد جنسی را فعال می سازد و از دیدگاه طب سنتی دارای طبیعت گرم بوده که برای خون سازی بسیار مفید است.
جوانه گندم را می توان به صورت های مختلف مصرف کرد، به عنوان مثال می توان آن را چرخ کرد و در تهیه انواع غذای خام استفاده کرد.
روش تهیه جوانه گندم:
مقدار ۲۰۰ گرم گندم را بعد از تمیز کردن خیس کرده و به مدت ۲ روز و هر روز آب آن را عوض کنید سپس داخل یک ظرف مانند آبکش ریخته و یک پارچه نمدار روی آن قرار دهید در گوشه از آشپزخانه قرار داده و تا زمانی که تمام گندم ها جوانه بزنند به پارچه با آب بپاشید تا نمدار بماند بعد از اینکه حدود ۵ میلی متر جوانه زدند داخل یخچال نگهداری کنید.
