Spent last evening with a great group of people socializing and stimulating our brains. Important activities for all ages but especially as we age. According to Elizabeth Bemis, author of “The Importance of Socialization at Senior Living Communities,” “Most people understand the importance of encouraging young children to socialize, but it's easy to overlook the importance of socialization for older adults. Human nature leads us to crave fulfilling relationships with other people. As we age, however, life circumstances may push us toward loneliness and isolation unless we take proactive steps to cultivate new relationships.” Personal relationships and regular interactions with others can make a major difference in the quality of life. Specifically, there are several key benefits associated with socialization for older adults, including: Sense of Purpose and Belonging – The combined advantages of active socializing can enhance your loved one's quality of life considerably and add years to their expected lifespan. Senior adults are able to make new friends and strengthen existing relationships when they are engaged in activities they love with others who enjoy similar interests.
Increased Self-Esteem and Confidence – Joining a group of people with the same interests makes life more fun. Volunteering, working a job or looking forward to activities you enjoy can provide a reason to get up and go with a smile. Feeling helpful and needed often makes a huge difference in anyone's life, regardless of age.
Improved Physical and Mental Health – Spending time positively engaged with others is life affirming and raises self-confidence. So does keeping up with current news and trends. Anything that boosts self-esteem and self-confidence can contribute to a positive mental outlook, which in turn encourages the release of "feel good" hormones. These health-promoting chemicals help the body to fight off illness and disease while physically making us feel better. Additionally, regular interaction and engagement with peers helps to keep the mind sharp. #longtermcare#longtermcareinsurance#longtermcareplanning#livinglife#stayingyoung#outsideyourcomfortzone#learnsomethingnew
Let’s be honest: No one relishes the idea of planning for their life to go wrong. It’s a struggle to get people to acknowledge that bad things could happen to them.
Long Term Care insurance: Insurance that pays for someone to come into your home and provide assistance with daily activities or that pays part of the cost of a facility providing assistance with daily activities.
3 reasons to get LTC insurance:
1. Covers costs and protects assets as you age.
2. It preserves a person independence.
3. Higher quality of life and care as you age.

I’m a strong believer of LTC that’s why I have one myself. Long term care insurance covers care generally not covered by health insurance, Medicare, or Medicaid. 70 percent of individuals over 65 will require at least some type of long-term care services during their lifetime. Let me help you set one up while you’re younger. #longtermcareinsurance
