Happy Indian Independence Day! ✨
What does freedom or Independence mean to you? Is it financial freedom, freedom from the minds control, freedom of expression, freedom from a toxic relationship? Freedom from pain?
Instead of just celebrating the freedom of a country, let’s ALSO embody the freedom we want to feel and see in this world. •

I was chatting to someone the other day about my pregnancy and she responded with, “I hated being pregnant- with all four of my kids!!!”. You know what?! I found the biggest relief in her statement. My pregnancy has been easy, I seriously can’t complain, but I haven’t really enjoyed it and I have felt so guilty for this. But I don’t need to. Pregnancy is hard, even if it’s been an overall smooth journey. Watching my body change and stretch in a way I never thought possible has been difficult, especially when you are surrounded by social media telling you to slim is better. Most days I look at myself in the mirror and just feel ugly. Your body doesn’t belong to you anymore, you are growing a human. We all know this going into pregnancy, but how many of us are actually ready and prepared for the physical changes of our body... and even for the bigger changes that are happening internally, especially your mind? I feel I went into carrying my son a little naively, we all probably do, but I definitely feel I’ve learnt so much about myself and my body in the process. So be kind to your body and yourself. Every mom is a hero in my eyes. You put your body second so that you could bring an incredible life into this world, what an honour and blessing to have been given this opportunity. You are amazing!!

Living a life of faith in God will always leave you with a lot of “I’m glad I did” rather than “I wish I would have” moments. Be all in!

Goodbye summer 😭 Hello new school year...tomorrow! ✨ I sure am going to miss the carefree days my kids and I had but after how this last week went down, I could tell we were all ready for school to start again. Ha ha! 😂 #godblessteachers#backtoschool#myemilove
In 2011 I was in a Q&A meeting with the Manhattan area YSA’s, Whitney L. Clayton, and David A. Bednar.
This question was posed to Elders Clayton and Bednar:
“What is the biggest problem facing our generation?”
I’ll share Elder Bednar’s answer in a future post.
Elder Clayton said, “Social media preventing you from forming eternal families.”
This felt out of place at the time, but I have since seen it proven time and again during my dating years as an “older” YSA prior to marrying, and that was even before the technology *really* took off.
But one way I see it happening now is by eroding young people’s ability to connect with others, and even more damaging, with a higher power.
When one feels totally alone in the world, being able to access God, purpose, and meaning, is absolutely critical.
This is why it matters that we help show younger generations that we have not outgrown the need for religion, the need for God, and the need for each other in tangible ways.
A 2003 study by the Commission on Children at Risk, “Hardwired to Connect,” reports the deteriorating mental and behavioral health of U.S. children a national “crisis” caused primarily by a lack of “close connections” to other people, and “deep connections to moral and spiritual meaning.”
And the family, which “is usually the source of the most enduring and formative relationships in a child’s life,” has grown “steadily weaker” since the mid 1960’s.
Learning how to teach the Gospel in ways that matter to today’s teens and young adults is KEY.
Showing them why marriage still matters, why raising children matters, and why maintaining age-old values is the way to a strong family, and thereby securing a safe, peaceful society in which to live and leave future generations.

When i was introduced to Ever, I didn’t use a skincare line- just coconut oil, aloe, and baking soda. As a cancer survivor and clean health enthusiast I knew what I put on my skin went straight to my bloodstream, and I knew that most product lines had ingredients I DID NOT want in my body’s systems. .
I’d tried natural lines, but with no results so figured why bother? Ever is in a lane all it’s own with amazing, clinical grade results using good for you ingredients. Nothing banned on the European Union list (they have over 1300 ingredients banned compared to the US which has 14).
New clients who order a Regimen this month will receive a full size product gift from me 😘😘😘

Be like Auggie. Do the dang thing even if it scares the tar out of you. You won’t regret it. (Super proud of how far this lil pup has come 💛)
Got to visit Philadelphia for the first time two weeks ago with @jezar, and while it was a short stop, I got this great view of the skyline!
It reminded me that brevity does not have to be synonymous with shallow or inconsequential. It might take some work, but if you press into each moment, you can find beauty and purpose there. Ask yourself, “what can I glean from this moment?” You’ll be surprised at the difference intentionality can make.

#THISWILDIDEA | What’s this weekend workshop all about? What topics will we explore?
I believe our ideas need a few things to really take off:
+ Intention; keeping the big picture in mind and charting a path of least resistance
+ Innovation; bringing fresh perspectives to traditional industries
+ Influence; activating community and real, authentic engagement that yields continued success
+ Implementation; of systems, teams and structures that keep your ideas afloat + rising above the rest
We’ll dive into all of the above in order to develop ideas that disrupt culture, make an impact and scale your business to new heights.
Due to the intimate size of this workshop (I like to go deep, not wide), you can expect a highly personal and hands-on experience.
Tickets go on sale 08.20.18. Get on the waitlist to snag a discount promo code to use during launch week: link in bio!

I’ve been trying to get into the habit of meditating but the best I can manage is about 12 minutes every couple of days. Maybe painting could count as meditation instead? #zenfail

I know you want more for your life
I know you want to live life fully,
To be present for all that it has to offer,
To grow and use your voice,
To share with the world all that you have to give.
Without being scared and feeling
the fear that somehow you are not good enough,
the self-doubt that makes you question yourself,
the voice of criticism that accompanies you through your day.
I know because I’ve been there too,
Playing the small game,
Not taking up my space.
There is a way to move through the fear,
back to the powerful source that you are,
into mindful, compassionate action,
fully alive and present,
step by step.
If this is you, and if you are in Bali next week, please join me at The Practice in Canggu. I will be giving a free presentation on Tuesday 21 August at 7.45pm and my workshop on Sunday 26 August from 9.30am – 5pm. Bookings can be made by contacting: [email protected]
I’d love to see you there!
If you have any questions at all, please don’t hesitate to let me know. Send me a DM or email me at: [email protected]

“God has given us two hands--one to receive with and the other to give with. We are not cisterns made for hoarding; we are channels made for sharing.” Billy Graham
We just wanted to take a quick minute to say thank you for all your support as we take some big steps into the dark tomorrow with our first live event and study guide presale launch. 💛 This community means the world to us, and we are so grateful for each of you—for teaching us, inspiring us, supporting us, and best of all for seeking Jesus with us. We are in awe of what God has done here, and are grateful for each of you for being a part of it. xoxo, The Small Seed Team

A year ago I met a guy on a rooftop, and never looked back. ❤️
It’s #truthtuesday on A Plenty Life! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Listen up! ☝🏼
There are things in your life RIGHT NOW that you need to get rid of. There are poisons and bad habits and people that you need to stop allowing to have control over you! 🛑
I don’t even need to tell you what those things are because you already know. The second you started reading this, that thing, person, habit, or feeling popped right into your head.
You know exactly what doesn’t belong in a life that brings you joy. You know exactly what has to go in order for you to feel peace.
You see, sometimes we try to stay strong and just “deal”. We think we can overcome the darkness of that thing and so we keep it around.
We think, somehow, some day, it will just stop being poisonous to our souls. We convince ourselves that if we just leave it in the background, it won’t harm us; as long as we don’t engage too often, everything will be fine.
⬇️Do these things sound familiar?⬇️
We don’t block that ex. We don’t correct that friend who makes us feel horrible. We don’t cut up our credit cards. We don’t quit that unnecessary job. We don’t forgive that person. We don’t seek help. We don’t unfollow that account that makes us feel less than.
We may never actively engage with that person or in that bad habit, but we never fully let it go. We never fully get rid of it.
We just let things slowly destroy our hearts from the sidelines. We let a steady drip of poison into our daily lives and folks, we are the one administering the IV.
So here’s the million dollar question! 👇🏼
What do you need to get rid of today? What do you need to completely let go of so that it no longer controls you? And we are talking completely obliterate it from existing in your life.
Take an evaluation. And then start taking steps to rid yourself of the poison. Start holding yourself accountable for your own happiness. 💕
And of course, seek out community if you need it. I am right here with you. Through thick and thin, through the withdrawals from your poison. ✌🏼
True joy ✨
Life has been a bit of a rollercoaster lately. I haven't been posting here much because...life. And lately it's felt like a constant downhill. But I'm still choosing joy!
I have been beyond blessed with incredible prayer warriors & friends who are always willing to lend an ear/shoulder and cheer me on. I've been reminded that it's not the circumstances of life that measure my joy, but my perspective of life. In Christ, I have fullness of joy. Even in the valleys, I can choose joy & thankfulness. 💗

Something about the simplicity of this picture makes me so happy. Because it’s just THEM. I can only imagine this is what it looks like when they are walking around as a family 90% of the time. Sweet Zach on a mission to go-go-go, determined to bring mom and dad along to check out whatever catches his little eye. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
It’s not posed. It’s not forced. It’s not perfect. It’s just THEM. ❤️

kindness is one of the most powerful gifts we can give ourselves. Choosing to be kind affects the lense through which we see our circumstances and the ways we interact with others // 🍃HERE’S A 5 MINUTE CHECK-IN FOR YOU •Begin by getting honest. Ask yourself, “Do I generally choose to live from a place of kindness & compassion towards myself?” If the answer is no, acknowledge that as the present state. Release judgemental thoughts that may arise. // •Then Ask: “What areas do I notice the most resistance to being kind?” (Examples - Work, motherhood, Home, relationships, etc) // •Then Ask: “How does this lack of kindness show up?” (Examples - perfectionism, high expectations, critical thoughts, putting yourself down in front of others, etc) // •Finish by offering a check-in to your present circumstances. “Where do I need kindness for myself most right now? “ 🍃Then, take a moment and mentally or verbally extend that kindness to yourself. This very act is self-compassion.
And I want to tell you, I see you in it and I struggle too. 🌈if you took a moment to do this check-in, send me a message or comment below and let me know how it was for you
I will treasure the spontaneous morning dates with you sweet girl. Adventuring to the country and having breakfast at a little cafe then getting lost to find a lake is how I like to spend my days. I just pray and hope that when you grow up you’ll somehow remember these moments even if it’s faintly. I’m so glad God chose me to be your nanny 💕

"Stop waiting for Friday, for summer, for someone to fall in love with you, for life. Happiness is achieved when you stop waiting for it and make the most of the moment you are in now." [Author unknown]
You don't have to get stuck in the idea of "one day when." You have the freedom to be intentional and see where God is leading you now.
What small step can you take or what new habit can you start to help you get to where you want to be a month or a year from now? Maybe it's getting more sleep. Getting up earlier. Journaling. Share your ideas. ⬇️
Think of the thing you love more than anything in the world.
Is it your dog, chocolate cake or maybe even your significant other?
Well I love Photography as much as you LOVE that. I mean how can you not when its literally your job o take pictures of beautiful diamonds like this?!
Okay well, maybe I love chocolate cake and Brandon a little more then photography, but its pretty high up there.
