Color scheme is often one of the most important factors in a painting. This group of feeding Catalana hens are a mix of warm colors, orange, burnt sienna and a few lighter yellow highlights. For contrast, the shadows, the distant ground and the background are all cool colors, complementary blues and violets. Complementary colors are opposites on a color wheel i.e. red and green, orange and blue, yellow and violet, etc. The presence of the complementary colors side by side serves to accentuate the intensity of both for the viewer, a factor often utilized by painters. ⠀

I was reading about the new Terminator movie coming out. But it honestly sounds like the same ole shlt. I then got to thinking, "I'd love to see a child terminator. Some liquid metal brat who goes back in time to eliminate a goody two shoes grade school Sarah Connor." It would be silly, but no more silly than the tired rehashes of the same old plot.
