Got ONE beautiful hour together with this hunk without our littles, who mind you, we love dearly. But oh man it was so refreshing to sit together in a coffee shop-no diaper bags and strollers and have a non-poop related conversation 🤣 #newbornparents
We sat & chatted about our future, vision, and dreams. We ran the numbers and with a little perseverance saw that it was absolutely completely doable for my coaching business to help us move us back home, AND to pay off debt.
It set a fire in my soul to help others. Because honestly i hadnt always taken this seriously (or my health for that matter.) But oh sweet Jesus— when I really see this wonderful job God has given me, Im taking it very seriously. And with faithfulness & consistency I cannot wait to see what God will do. Swipe right to see REAL numbers of one of our coaches!

Just keep climbing. These children inspire me with their muscles and mindset. Some moments are meant for pausing and savoring.
Others, obviously, for looking up and climbing. No limits ❤
. (And of course, a small number of moments are for me to turn my head away so I don't let anxiety win!) 😂
Treat yo'self Tuesday!
Because grocery shopping with kids? #amen •
They wanted goldfish, I decided to try a new flavor.
I was a little hesitant at the cayenne, but it was perfect.
And to the dear gentleman who did a very obvious neck cricking, eye bugging, triple take. It's just kombucha, I promise. 😂
Brooklyn 👌 check out our Insta stories for a look through this stunning baby bag 😍

Tomorrow is the first day of spring so it's fitting that these pretties are on the verge of blooming. Spring is always a pretty great date. It's a funny thing about dates. A birthdate, date of graduation, wedding date, the day a loved one was lost. All dates carry with them a story of life. Days of joy or sadness that are imprinted in our hearts and memories forever. It's hard to forget certain dates. Today was the due date of our baby not to be in this life. I've been dreading this day. Yet the day still came and went. Tomorrow will be a new date with new memories formed and hopefully with each passing year... March 19th will get easier. ❤️

Listening is such an important skill. Don't you agree? Now if only I could get my kids, students, and pets to listen. Just kidding.
Many of my days are spent with Eva Lou attached at the hip (literally), pacing the house because she’s not content to sit. Pacing leads to grazing and grazing leads to putting on weight to a body you’re probably already not too comfortable with. I love my body, but I’m not treating it like I should (hello, guilt!). Gaining weight leads to not liking the way you look in clothes, which leads to cancelling plans and staying in. I say I’ll go to the gym almost every night before bed and then she doesn’t sleep, or one of the other kids get sick, or your house is such a mess you feel like you can’t leave it until it’s clean. So you stay home with a baby attached to your hip, setting her down here and there to maybe switch one load of laundry or pick up few toys that are scattered so you can vacuum, only to have to do it again because you never got around to vacuuming. So now the whole day you’ve gone in circles, and you’ve neither cleaned your house, ate those perfectly planned meals or went to the gym and you sit in bed thinking of how you’re going to accomplish so much tomorrow only to wake up and do the whole thing again. Welcome to stay at home mom life.

Samuel is 9 months today! 🎂 Boy, time flies!⠀ ⠀
Still trying to work out that “Work Life Balance” thing... I can confidently say that I have doubled my productivity after having Samuel. It’s incredible what we can accomplish when we are focus and determined... and only have that spare precious silent moment. 🙉 So very grateful for all the support around me & blessed to go through this amazing motherhood journey. 🙏🏼🎈
When we enter parenthood we suddenly acquire lots of weird instincts and habits.
Catching someone else’s puke in my hands is definitely in the top 10!
Anybody else have strange instincts that kicked in once you brought tiny humans into the world?

Currently filling out kindy forms for this one. She desperately needs the extra stimulation and I just can't keep up with her. She's such a wild child with attitude to boot. So for both our sanities, it's time. It will only be a couple of sessions a week but I know it'll help all of us. Also, less than a month and my baby is 2 😭 #imnotcryingyourecrying

Snacks in the morning...snacks in the evening...snacks at supper time 🎵
Been hanging on to this quote from Andrew (😝any other moms out there with kiddos who would prefer to eat snacks 24-7?)...and these fun food-with-faces stickers...and just got my new @gellyrollph pens today...and it’s yarn week @get.creative.with so had yarn by my side and just decided to make a quick art journal page to capture a moment in #motherhood . #thesearethedays#thisisthree#momlife
Day 2 of spring break.
A dragon and a princess go for a walk in the pine forest.
Turns out that tree climbing is tricky (but not impossible) when you're wearing a super long, tulle-filled dress.
And that being a dragon on the beach is sweaty.
There was way more tv than yesterday.
We also did this.
And this hour-ish outside was delightful.
The house was still totally trashed when we got home, but we managed to make it look less like a disaster zone than it did when we left it.
A few good pop songs will inspire that.
Meanwhile, I am working really hard to stick to my daily outdoor time during this week of spring break.
What I realized today is that I want more.
I want time to explore the pathways we haven't explored yet.
I want time to go on longer adventures that require driving a little further instead of just walking down the street in my neighborhood (although I am very grateful for the nature preserve).
My goal this year is to find ways I can readjust my schedule, particularly in the summer when both kiddos are home during the day, to make more time for outdoor adventures.
I'm starting now so it becomes more of a familiar action.
I'll keep you posted.
Are you an outdoor explorer or adventurer?
Do you feel like you get enough time outside?
If you had as much time as you wanted to be outside, what would you do with it?

As parents, our hearts are shattered and filled with rage when we wake up to news of injustice, we feel despair that this is the world our children are inheriting. From mass shootings, illegal toxic dumpings to college admissions cheating scandals becoming the norm, we wonder where did it all go wrong?
More than ever - teaching our kids virtues is vital to bring justice, compassion, generosity, and kindness into this world we live in today. By doing so, we’ll bring out the best in our children. How we parent is our responsibility, however, how they turn out is a mysterious & complex process with many influences other than us.
We want to empower them and strengthen their ability to make moral choices, to be generous, respectful, full of gratitude and choose pure intentions over self-serving intentions. The basic fundamentals of being human right?! 😅
We bought this book “The Family Virtues Guide” a few years ago, and now that Naima is turning 5, we felt it was the perfect time to introduce it as an inner adventure for the family. There are 52 virtues, so we will go through one every week with the girls ❤️🙏
Swipe to see some excerpts from the book! This is in line with the positive parenting & gentle discipline methods we have been practicing. The power of language is so powerful - in the last few weeks our family has found a new calm where we are working together as a team which causes a ripple effect, and as parents we have also found ways to self-care (not just physical rest, but learning to say no, as well as thanking & konmari-ing people who no longer have a place in our future🙏.)
