Working out is a way for me to escape & do what I love! I have came a long way in this journey. I have CVS, short for cyclic vomiting syndrome & it has made me very ill to the point of being bed written for years - not able to do anything! Finally I found a medication that helps me not feel that way. This condition is very hard to explain because all tests that you take come out completely normal like nothing is wrong with you, yet if you eat or even drink you’re gonna puke! How does that even make sense? It blows me away. Fitness has given me the strength to love myself, & a reason to live!! I’ve FINALLY found my passion & what I am needed for! For years I’ve been wondering why am I even here.... However my mental health has grown to be so much stronger. Yes I have been very ill at times since receiving my better medication & felt like giving up.... You know I told myself NEVER will I EVER give up! I love feeling strong and the person fitness had made me become! Do y'all know how important it is to drink your body weight in water?! Hydration is responsible for healthy skin, weight management, waist elimination, energy, and a sense of wellbeing. Did ya also know that coffee, tea, and alcohol can rob our bodies of that hydration? 😱 Yeah sucks!!! So for every coffee/tea/cocktail you have; it's recommended to drink an additional cup of water to help keep things balanced.
Wanna know how much water you should be drinking in a day? Super easy! Whatever your weight is, convert it to ounces, then cut that number in half. Whatever that number is, for you, is the amount of water needed to fuel your beautiful individual body! ❤️😊
Example: 120lbs converted to ounces = 120 ounces; cut that in half would = 60 ounces. Therefore 60 ounces of water should be drank in a day. That's 7 1/2 cups of water. Get it? If not comment below!⤵️ Let's keep our skin & body happy this season!💋

I remember writing a press release 10 years ago about #internationalyogaday for a client and we landed on the front page of the local newspaper. It’s was a proud moment! Before that I had no clue the holiday existed. At the time I wasn’t practicing #yoga but now it’s amazing to look forward 10 years later to see how much joy the practice of yoga has brought to my life. I started practicing yoga about 5 years ago and haven’t been able to get off the mat since. It’s amazing to see things come full circle. 📸: @amberjanephotog

These last weeks have been a strong dose of real life. Farm and non-farm obligations. My tweens being out of school. Which apparently means my kitchen is a war zone and the dishes have quadrupled. A rotating schedule with our youngest’s maternal fam. And side projects for days. At this rate, Aaron and I will get to spend quality time together by August! 🤞
When it rains it pours. Sunday night, we found our largest buckling, Foreman, bleeding from behind his left horn. He must have stuck his head where it didn’t belong. Thankfully, he got loose and was able to eat and drink normally. But the damage was extensive. I’m talking almost lost his horn. Which, if you know goats, that can be a death sentence. It took 2 days to stop the bleed. Patient number 1.
I haven’t been able to make dinner before 8pm since May. So, our evening chores have become night chores. Just a bunch of headlamps moving from pasture to pasture. Last night we noticed our prize goat Pinkette (normally a lively, chubby doe covered in silky brown fluff) low energy, rail thin and fur a wiry mess. How long had she been like that? Par for the course, the production stopped. No goat left behind! We isolated her and her kids. Checked her eyelids and surmise it’s just the hungry hippos she’s created that are depleting her of nutrients. But decided to give her a few things for good measure. Full bellies of grain, 2 oral drenches and an injection later, we both feel better about her health. Though it will take time to get her back to peak condition. Patient number 2.
And lastly, I track down my beloved, still pregnant Highlands. Only to find Nala with what looks like a gore wound on her side. Could have been Betty. Their irritable pregnant syndrome is at an all-time high. But the worst part is, she’ll never let me treat it. I guess I’ll just be out there stalking her, monitoring the healing process. I’m sure she’ll love that. Patient number 3.
Life right now feels like Stella’s acrobats. Leaping and bounding over a bunch of unpredictable things. No time to pause. One missed step and she's thrown off course. She just keeps moving until she reaches solid ground again.
That moment when you realize needing nothing attracts everything ✨

When I blew out the candles on my 19th birthday cake a year and a half ago, I wished to travel more. Since then, I’ve gone to Florida, Utah countless times, Minnesota for my bday, and flew private to Austria, & France. Next up, Turks and Caicos, & Ireland. • This carry on luggage from Away has been a game changer y’all. My parents bought each other new luggage for their anniversary and I totally stole this from their set, so today I made a big girl purchase and grabbed my own. This summer sure is sweet. I cannot wait to spend the weekend with my beautiful momma.
