Welp we did it! We moved over the weekend, but I still feel like I’m living in an @airbnb or something - we’re down 1500 square feet and still pulling clothes out of suitcases 🤣 Oh well, we’re loving our new place and are itching to get back into a routine. As long as my kitchen feels put-together, I can conquer anything. For Dan, it’s the office that needs to be done for his brain to feel some focus. What room in your house is a must when it comes to staying clean and organized? Or maybe it’s just a corner of a room? Sometimes our life is so nuts that a clean corner is all I get! 😜
I don’t have to look back too far to find a time I didn’t have permanent wrinkles on my forehead.....and my leg didn’t sport a blue worm-like vein down the front. Time changes us.
The world suggests this is a bad thing and insists we look for any way to stop (or reverse🙄) the process. Just look at advertisements. They don’t celebrate aging. They don’t value what aging brings.
But..... Here’s the thing, it is by design that we grow older. We can welcome the process and celebrate this - that while the physical body slows, wrinkles, sags, shows more veins, and aches, the part of us inside the shell can become more and more beautiful as God shapes our character, heart, and true identity.
So, you dear twenty-something’s, these aren’t your best years. It’s not downhill from here. The decades ahead hold so much growth for you. When they come, step in with faith-filled anticipation and excitement....and let the clock keep ticking forward. •
Hello, it’s been awhile... I have not been utilizing social media very much recently. I’ve been exploring different parts of this planet, my mind, my body, and my soul. Through the exploration and discovery I have been trying to cultivate balance between all. Often times I feel out of balance, but I show myself grace by acknowledging that every moment is a new opportunity to find balance in life again. I am setting an intention of maintaining this Instagram and sharing more of my thoughts, discoveries, aspirations, and anything that resonates in my being. I appreciate everyone who follows this feed, thank you. .
I’ve been thinking a lot about my travels lately. I’ve been around the world a few times and I’ve realized that I’ve never met a joyful person that complained a lot. Even ppl that had reason to complain. I’ve met ppl with literally nothing that had more joy than ppl I know that had plenty. I realize, It’s not the stuff or lack of stuff. It’s being grateful. You see, you can’t be grateful and complain at the same time. Complaining leads us down a path of negativity and complacency. But a grateful heart opens the doors of life to opportunity and joy. Let’s be grateful today. I’m willing to bet it will do a lot more for us than complaining will :) #life#grateful
