WHY IS BEING A MUM SO BLOODY HARD?
I felt so energised after two weeks away, and within a day of being home I am DRILLED. .
I can feel tension in my body returning, I feel rushed and stressed, pressure to be in certain places at certain times, all the Tupperware has either vanished or lost it's partner, I have lunchbox amnesia (wtf can I put in there?), everything is s-c-a-t-t-e-r-e-d but it's ok...
My kids are just being arseholes coz they missed me (it's way easier if you can accept that as truth, plus it's a weird form of flattery 😂)
But why should such simple things as making food, and dressing little people be so stressful? I have no idea. When I had my break I was so relaxed and home in myself. From a distance I couldn't understand why I found the little, everyday things so hard. .
When I returned I froze up again. Back to that place of unnecessary stress that little people tend to bring to the surface. Generally speaking, no one thing about being a primary carer is hard, it's just endless amounts of little jobs that keep stacking up that brings out the stress! .
So I need some strategies to cope with the little things that are giving me the SHITS and are disproportionately stressful for what they are. Like Tupperware for lunch boxes #lunchboxstress 😂
What's one tiny mundaine thing you can hack today as a stress reducing experiment? Think of one little job that you can't be ARSED doing, and just get rid of it or at least make it easier in some way. Coz really, this shit shouldn't be so hard!!!

First time crossing the Long Mynd today and it was just stunning.
Life is all about balance. Sometimes you have to do something completely not you and truly let go. This kind of stuff is very hard for me. Last night really rested me and you know what I survived. I may have drank a little too much and got too little sleep but I’m okay with it. Today will call for lots of pool naps and hopefully a smoothie if I can find one in this town!
