Currently in week six of my new #y3t training block and I've got to say. I am loving life right now! Strength is going up, bodyweight is going up, training sessions are feeling great everything is going really well!
Hopefully more of the same to come, because that's what training is all about right? Enjoying yourself, otherwise why else would you want to go and train your ass off everyday?

One the left I was burning as much as I was taking in . Right I did less cardio and lifted heavier becuase I had the energy . That’s because not all calories are created equal.
What is a Calorie? Calories are a measure of the energy that is generated from food once inside the body, and they abide by a simple law of physics: energy in minus energy out equals weight loss or gain. This is true both in a test-tube and in tightly controlled weight-loss experiments, in which people are fed exactly the same number of calories, but from different food sources. Subjects will lose roughly the same amount of weight, regardless of whether the calories come from a diet low in fat, low in carbs, or any other combination of nutrients. However, the results discount variables such as hunger (controlled by hormones), cravings, emotions, and non-controlled environments.The Best Calories So which foods don’t tell us to store fat and send us back to the fridge an hour later? It’s not rocket science: the concept goes back to the way we ate before we were inundated with processed foods. Focus on eating lean protein, healthy fats, and unprocessed, unrefined carbohydrates such as vegetables, beans, and fruit. And when it comes to whole grains, the less processed the better—think brown rice vs. white and stone-ground whole wheat, quinoa, or oats instead of white bread. Replace highly processed carbohydrates, which spike blood sugar and insulin, with vegetables, beans and whole grains. Choose fats that come from plant sources like nuts, olive oil and avocado and lean proteins such as fish and chicken.

Lyla came into bed with me and beat the crap out of me all night. I gave up on sleep at 2:45 am and have been up since. Work was a challenge to put it nicely. Got off just in time to get Lyla and catch Connor and Everley off the bus and do homework with them until Luke got off the bus. Then we went straight to a school function.
I could have skipped today. I wanted to skip today.... But I knocked out a killer leg night that I will hate life for the next few days over. And I love it 🤘🏽 #momlife#legday#killme
Took cardio to a whole new level today, and instead of the Stairmaster I played some racket ball. Lately I haven’t been feeling like my normal motivated self, so I’ve decided to take a step back and try new things! Sometimes it’s important to switch up your environment and daily routine if you are feeling a little burnt out. For the rest of this week I’ll be trying different activities for cardio to see what gets me back in a more motivated mind set. I encourage anyone feeling a little burnt or to do the same! 💪🏻👟

One day you are going to look back and laugh at all the tears you wasted on hearts that didn’t matter. God had a plan, and man is it a beautiful one. So hang in there, because there’s so much beauty left to come❤️
It’s about time for a strength phase, just laying down the baseline of my Back Squat progression. As you can see I’m typically a low bar squatter. Many people ask why my ass is so big, well watch how I inherently execute the squat and you may see why. I love the traditional 5 by 5 program, and this was my first week. This being the last set I did as many as I could until I was at a 1-2 RIR and racked it. Next week I will bump up the weight ~5% and go for this again. Man do I need to get my numbers back up 😜.

tried and true methods, there’s a reason this one has stood the test of time.
