"I believe in Nelson Mandela’s vision. I believe in a vision shared by Gandhi and King and Abraham Lincoln. I believe in a vision of equality, justice, freedom and multi-racial democracy, built on the premise that all people are created equal, and they're endowed by our creator with certain inalienable rights, and I believe that a world governed by such principles is possible. And it can achieve more peace and more cooperation in pursuit of a common good. That’s what I believe." —@barackobama at the 2018 #MandelaLecture
A lot of people want to be leaders and they feel being a leader is given by position.
When I was becoming a leader I made all the wrong mistakes. I yelled, I bossed people, I had an iron fist. This is no way to lead. .
I corrected myself as quickly as possible and realized a leader is meant to show people the way. Help them progress beyond me and become greater then they ever thought possible. .
But here are the facts a lot of "Leaders" call themselves "Leaders" because of the position they earned or were given. .
They just see another body to produce results.
The "leader" might say,"just trust me," before they even get to know the new person. The funny part is that a lot of "leaders" do not truly understand that trust is earned and meant to be honored, it is not given. .
You cannot show a person all your successes and have them immediately trust you. That only partially validates your advice, trust is much deeper. .
When someone starts to fall in production, the true leader will be there to figure out whats needed. The other type only talks to people that "don't waist their time." .
Be there for them and they will be there for you.
The system of leadership is broken. If you want to be a leader you need to lead yourself first and understand most everything about your people so you can help them. .
Not say do it this way because this way works with a smile on your face. Forgetting that the other person has a brain as well.
Embrace others on your team and help them, they are not just a number. .
Little scenery from Europe to contemplate. .
If you know how to treat people, how to talk to people, if you respect them or not, all that goes back to your success
Success is to have people around you which you can trust. It depends on how human you are to others
We already have enough bad people around us, don't be one of them be GOOD and be better🙏🔥
