[Link in Bio] // 10 Ways to Be Unhappy in Finland (inspired by our @northernlightsvillage guide Ben). | On our last night in Lapland, we went hunting for the Northern Lights. With cloudy skies and a howling wind, our hopes for seeing the famous auroras were dashed. However, as we sat, hypnotized by the fire, drinking berry juice, and slowly letting conversation organically come together, we found that we were still really enjoying ourselves. In fact, I could have sat there for hours longer... During this time, our guide, Ben, stated that you have to actively try to feel unhappy in Finland. I, of course, fell completely in love with him as the night drew on, but what he said stuck with me. So, I wanted to guide those who wish to be unhappy while visiting Finland (Lapland in particular). I hope it helps all of those in need of a bad mood. Cheers! #Finland#Lapland#Happiness#guides#northerneurope#scandinavia#nordic

It is one thing to travel. A completely different thing to be able to share that experience with a partner who's equally curious about the world -- who will dive into a new culture with arms wide open, learn the map of a new place by heart even before landing, spend hours reading about the history of a country, live in a tiny hostel or a luxe lodge with equal aplomb, make you laugh at yourself when the journey gets tough, explore every corner day until night and transfom every trip into an extraordinary memory. Grateful for this forever-travel-partner-in-crime 🌍
So it was too cloudy to see the Northern Lights in Iceland but here’s a throwback to when I did see them in Lapland 5 years ago.. also it’s super hard to hold a camera still for 20 secs in -15degrees without a tripod which is why the photos are blurry! #northernlights#iceland#finland#lapland#throwback#natureandshit
Finally, i caught the northern lights dancing in the sky!

If the sky is clear there’s a decent chance to see at least little Northern lights every night (sep-apr) here in Lapland! But when solar activity rises higher there’s a good chance to see the storm like this! Sure you still need to have a good spot and view to maximize the experience! And how nice would it be to get good photos of what you just saw... with your smartphone you can not capture it... unfortunately!
So it seems we will have very good chances tomorrow such kind of high expectations! And we still have couple seats available... for a moment!
