If I don’t make it to work on Monday morning just know I’ve missed my flight to live on a Filipino island 🌴🌊

Another day, another bay! Hi guys, just me, back in my fave bikini (yes I promise I own others!) you know when you just find the one that hugs you right, holds ya down (or up) and makes you feel all over good? Just me? (Still talking bikini talk folks!) Who has that swimsuit they just live in! It’s bae, it completes you????
What an INCREDIBLE experience getting up close and personal with these gentle giants.🐘
It was so nice to see these elephants in their natural habitats rather than stuck behind some bars or being used for work or entertainment. 🎡 The staff here at the park has done an amazing job with taking care of these animals. For anyone that visits the Chiang Mai area...and is interested in seeing elephants (that are treated properly with NO riding) the Elephant Jungle Paradise Park is a great choice! 👌🏻

P.S. There’s one major difference between these elephants and the ones I saw in South Africa...does anyone know what it is! 🤔

• BEFORE SUNRISE • 'Woke up at 4am, put on a bright orange dress and went to climb Pidurangula Rock (aka cheap rock). Good timing as I got to the rock in the dark and was up at the top as dusk came. It's not that hard a climb. I was a bit out of breath but I'm out of shape and old, ok *older* than everyone else up there.
The darkness very quickly gave way to light and the sunrise itself was over in a matter of minutes but it was very serene and despite the other people up there you can easily have time and space to yourself'. I kept a hand written paper diary for the first time in years while in Sri Lanka and this is what I wrote about climbing Pidurangula at sunrise.
I've written a hell of a lot more than this in my new blog post: a guide to climbing the rock - and why it's better than Sigiriya.
Thanks to Lakmali @mahagedararetreat for organising this climb for me 🙏
Let me start by saying that this is not a good picture. This is not a pretty picture of a wonderful and exotic place. This is a picture of my best friends being morons in the Museum of Natural History in Washington DC. We took a 120 dollar impromptu flight to see our friend (featured far left) run her first marathon. I’m lucky enough that I have a ton of friends who also like to see the world and who always make it weird and fun... and this is why I travel. :)

The park was originally established in 1900 as Taihoku New Park (臺北新公園) during the Japanese colonial period, on former temple grounds. It was the first European-style urban park in Taiwan, placed on the grounds of the Colonial Governor's Office (today's Presidential Office Building). This historic site locates south of Ketagalan Boulevard in Taipei’s Zhongzheng district, Taiwan, it is also the home of Taipei 228 Memorial Museum. .
The building was a former radio station that operated under Japanese and Kuomingtang rule. The park was originally called Taipei Park and was then changed to “New Park in the Past”. It was first established during the Qing Dynasty and it’s now one of the oldest parks in Taipei area. .
Due to civil resistance on economic monopoly and corruption in the KMT government after World War II in 1947, people gathered in front of the police department on the 27th Feb 1947 to protest but were shot by the soldiers. .
The next day, 28th Feb, more people gathered in the Taipei Park and broadcast the movement at the radio station. In order to restrain the protesters and arrest alleged participants, the KMY government used military force on the public, causing hundreds hurt, and even death. .
During year 1996, the park was then renamed to 228 Peace Memorial Park in order to relieve this historic pain, a monument was set up in the park as well to remember the innocent people who sacrificed in the event.
