There has never been a time where I didn’t work. Since I was 15.
I pretty much always hustled, even 2 jobs then.
And I’m one of those people who doesn’t avoid work.
I enjoy helping people.
I love people!
That’s just bottom line.
But I’m a THINKER at heart.
And for years I’ve needed to unplug sometimes. I find listening to music and letting my mind replay images with no sound per se the most soothing thing.
For years I did jobs because, well, they served a function. They paid bills.
And I did them well because I wanted to be paid MORE.
Well, duh, who doesn’t !
But as you grow older I hear you, you want to do something that, yes, pays the bills, but that you wake up PSYCHED about, that doesn’t JUST satisfy a ‘bill’.
Something that rocks your core.
That doesn’t make you neglect yourself or forget who you are.
I think that is the gravest error most of us women make.
We make our whole existence around our family and then our work because it fits the ‘status’ that’s ‘approved’
Put some music on.
Let your mind wander.
Remember what YOU like.
And where YOU fit in.
Separate from your kids, your loved ones.
Find what you don’t mind doing.
Life is NOT ... NOT ... NOT only about ‘getting by’ or ‘going through the motions.’
It’s about growth.
