Thank you very much everyone for your interests of my Japanese Kanna course in Kiso in July 2018.
Fortunately I have got more than enough applicants and I have chosen very interesting 8 students for this course and I am sorry for that who I couldn’t chose this time…
I have been in Kiso for last two weeks for preparing my course. It’s April but still we got snow sometimes, and under the cold whether, I could complete finish making 9 traditional Japanese-Style workbenches, 12 sharpening stations, 16 stone holders, and etc….from 150 years old Japanese Keyaki elm that were fallen down form Isewan typhoon vera in 1959.
They were milled and air-dried for more than 30+ years and fortunately I have got opportunity to use them for my students. All of planks are around 80mm thick, 800mm wide and 50kg+ each…this is my first time I have lost my weight while I am temporary in Japan…😅
