The #goodvibes stories are flowing today. Check out @bigbuddynz and the wonderful mahi they do connecting kind-hearted mentors with fatherless boys. Feel your heart swell as you read about Big Buddy Pete Hobbs, 72, and his Little Buddy Sean Burkhalter, 9.
Big Buddy are a charitable organisation that are able to do this good work through the generosity of organisations and individuals like you. You can donate through The Good Registry website or pledge your next giving occasion in their name ❤️
Meet Big Buddy Pete Hobbs, 72, and his Little Buddy Sean Burkhalter, 9. Mum Simone is thrilled that Sean has this one to one attention from a good, life-loving man for a few hours each weekend. Pete brings wisdom, care and empathy to a boy whose father would have, ironically, been a similar age were he alive today. #kapiticoast#boyswithoutdads#fatherlesschild#hope#kindnessmatters#heart#givingback#newzealand#mentors#boys#philanthropy
Jayden Madigan has been such a great example to all of us by completing his Eagle Scout Project for Little Lambs Foundation For Kids. Jayden arranged and oversaw the successful collection of items for 25 comfort kits for the foster children we serve. A huge thank you from all of us here at Little Lambs . Congratulations!!
Our reality is constructed, meaning we create our reality. Whether we were brought up a certain way or had outside influences help shape our minds and perceptions of our world today, we can be the creators and masters of our mind.. keeping us in awareness of our judgements, reactions, and tendencies. Staying present and mindful of ourselves and our actions is a part of living a true authentic mindful life style & staying present without judgement when you are doing life is important. Because something might be wrong or not what you wanted or could just be approached differently...we might be able to notice things before we are react to quickly, without taking a look at the repercussions. It’s important to take a look at ourselves, as where as honor where we are. There will always be an aspect of ourselves we could improve, but first let’s just start to observe and notice our patterns and behaviors 💫

We can all be lights in others’ lives...by being kind, thoughtful, encouraging, and thankful. Too many of us talk badly about others or things, but aren’t willing to do anything to help change the situation. So...who’s willing to love more, help, be positive and be the change with me this week? 💕
I usually have blessing bags made to hand out to the homeless but because of supplies, we have been low in making them. When I take my daughter to skate, there is a huge opportunity for us to minister to the homeless in this part of our community. Last week I picked up something to eat for her but went to get something different for me before we left to head home. Before we drove off, we met sweet Sara who was homeless and living in the streets. I stopped her to inquire how things have been, a question that always seems silly for me to ask a homeless person but I believe the most powerful words we can ever say to another person are, how are you? I wanted her to know how loved she was, that I would be praying for her and I would have a blessing bag on my next trip. She had the most beautiful smile! I told my seven year old daughter, let’s begin praying Sarah will stay here for a little bit. She said Mommy it’s more important we pray the food will nourish her body and her soul😀As we prayed we drove as fast as we could to see our friend Mannie! You see Mannie has a story, one I haven’t figured out but he brings us so much joy each time we see him, it’s just contagious! I asked him to separate some food so I could take it back to Sarah. When he heard the story, he came back with the bags. He told me her bags of food and drink would be free and he even added dessert for her! My daughter was so excited, she told Mannie this is like when Jesus took the bread and the fish, He blessed it and multiplied it! What an amazing example of God’s love set in motion. She got to hand sweet Sarah dinner and say we love you, When God’s love reaches down, it spreads. I don’t know about you but I want to be that kid in the lunch room, I believe Jesus would be the one to say yes, I will sit with you. Everyday I want to be an example teaching my daughter the kind of person who says yes too!

✨"Be fearless in pursuit of what sets your soul on fire.”✨
I’m sure you’ve heard this many times, I know I have. It was always a nice thought, but it didn’t mean much to me. I hadn’t found what sets my soul on fire yet. I have now.🔥
My soul is set on fire when I get to experience....
• women seeing their beauty and valuing themselves
• sisterhood, friendship, community
• women discovering their purpose
• mamas finding joy in their motherhood journey
•women progressing in health and strength
• mamas gaining confidence postpartum and loving who they see in the mirror
• women contributing to their families financially while having the freedom to be home with their babies
• women embracing physical and mental freedom
It takes courage to do something you aren’t comfortable doing. You have to push past that fear and do it anyway, because it’s the best thing you can do for yourself, and for others. It’s knowing you were made for more. It’s understanding that your story can influence others and help them on their journey.💗
What sets your soul on fire? Are you fearless in your pursuit of more?😘

To heal the world, we need to let go of judgments, name calling to make room for love and joy. We can withhold judgement while still being true to our inherent natures, being ourselves and most of all still be kind. “Damning other people creates hell for ourselves.” ~Gabrielle Bernstein, author of Judgment Detox: Release the Beliefs That Hold You Back from Living a Better Life.

Real life VS. Real life 🤷🏻♀️😂 But the LOVE behind how I feel about this weekend and today is really, REAL! After a crazy couple of months, I needed a getaway and seeing some of my besties was the cure I needed! I spent a few days in Denver with my best gal of 15 years and some other sweet babes I met clear back during Girls State days! On my way home from the airport today, I had lunch with another bestie that really filled my heart! AND then I finally got to see my cute hubby after a whole weekend apart! Lastly, I opened up the sweetest, most thoughtful package from another amazing girlfriend with these incredibly soft @latesbykate jammies that I have been dreaming of for months!! It was ALL exactly what I've been needing. Life isn't all about the rainbows, believe me, I’ve had my fair share of ups and downs but days like these and the friends that I've been blessed with to keep me going, really make my days brighter! ☀️
PS stay tuned for a major announcement happening tomorrow! 💫
Hey y’all! I feel like it’s time I introduced myself here on the ‘gram, so here’s a little bit about all 4’11 of me. 👋🏽👋🏽 I was born and raised in the small town of Deming in southern New Mexico. I received my undergraduate and graduate degrees from New Mexico State University while raising two boys as a single mom. I moved to Phoenix in 2014 to start a new job and a fresh start since both my sons had flown the coop. Oddly enough, I fell in love with a man I went to high school with, and we are now planning the rest of our lives together. We are raising his daughter half-time, and we all love to laugh around a campfire under the tall pines.
I have been a School Social Worker for the past ten years, and previously I was an Individual and Family Therapist and also an MST Therapist. My passion is working with children and my heart and soul lies with helping disenfranchised youth reach their full potential. Working in downtown Phoenix has allowed me to see the disparities between urban and suburban students and opened my eyes to the grave differences between the two. I absolutely LOVE teaching social emotional skills to kids; shaping their hearts fulfills me in ways I never imagined. I’ve learned that kindness is contagious and it begins with me, because I truly believe that kindness is not an act, it is a lifestyle. Most importantly, I believe in God because I’ve experienced His goodness and mercy myself. ♥️ Please feel free to share about yourselves, I’d love to meet some of my fellows! ✌🏽&🤟🏽 #kindnessmatters#grizzlies#socialwork#garfield#socialworklife#work#live#love#laughter
