It was #CDU3 's first international flight. He had a short trip to Palembang as his first plane ride when he was 6 weeks old. And this month he reached new milestone as #junior#frequentflyer .
Alhamdulillaaah 3 #CDU ini anteng selama di pesawat. Sengaja pilih full service airlines kalo bawa anak2 biar mreka nyaman di perjalanan jadi aku pun ga rungsing duluan. Sampe skarang blom pede bawa anak2 liburan pake low cost carrier, kawatir merusak mood sebelum nyampe negara tujuan. Maklum setiap liburan kami ga pernah bawa bala bantuan baik keluarga atopun domestic helper. Kewarasan ibuk bapak itu hal yang penting demi keutuhan rumah tangga.
Had front row seat since we requested baby bassinet 3 days before the flight. Setauku berat maksimum bayi bisa pake bassinet ini 11kg, #CDU3 was around 10.8 last month. It was his first and last experience 🤣 Rasanya ketolong banget dengan bassinet ini. #CDU3 bisa tidur pules ga pegel digendong 4 jam. Aku jadi bisa bolak balik nganter para kakak pipis, bisa makan dengan tenang, bahkan sempet ketiduran beberapa kali. Makasih ya @garuda.indonesia for all onboard comforts.

What are you willing to work for, challenge yourself for, take risks for?
This is such a lesson I want to ingrain in my kids. The easy things aren't worth it.
Do you agree?

We swapped pencils and paper for snowshoes and the trails today. 🙌🏻 We were beyond spoiled to have @mt_bachelor as our classroom today. After an intense winter with a lot of snowfall, we were all excited for ONE last day to play and learn in the snow. On the bus ride home one student said to me...”Mrs. Hayes, I had so much fun today, but I’m ready to be done with snow now.” 😂 #tuchechild#ontospringbreak
Since I learned how to walk I have never stopped😃 Mamma and Pappa say it is running🏃♀️not walking 🚶♀️ 😉 😊❤️ #walkingandrunning#actionshot

Our youngest customer Lincoln enjoying his new travel pram!
This little pram is packed with features! You can choose different fabric and frame colours, it folds with one button to carry onboard the plane & of course it looks so pretty! Thanks for sharing this gorgeous pic @hannah.h.hughes .
travel. it is something you can’t start a child too young! being able to see different places and experience new areas of the country or world is unforgettable. we as adults see it one way but children see it entirely different. .
Sofia is keeping a handwritten journal of our trip just like I do by blogging / instagramming(adult version right?! 🤷🏼♀️). each day she writes her experiences and draws a picture or two of what stands out in her mind. when she’s done she hands it up to the front seat so I can review. reading her point of view is so different than mine. it’s innocent, it’s detailed in tiny different ways, and it’s so raw. I can’t wait till she looks back on this journal in a couple of years and remembers that cute portrait of Lyla she drew sleeping next to her in the car seat wearing a “magical” unicorn bib 🦄🧡 #PuckettRoadTrip2019#CannonBeach

Jace is home from school (he goes to preschool Montessori) the rest of this week and I love it. I love that my husband is home. I love that jace gets more time with HBT. This will be the daily for us soon with moving next month and then shifting to...homeschooling.😍
Yes, I said it. Or should I say unschool? I’m not familiar with the cool lingo yet so I’m grasping at every picture, curriculum and story friends post 😂 True story...years ago I actually pictured this being the case. Because I have a pattern of doing all the things I said I never would do...which included “homeschooling” 😉
I fly by the seat of my pants every day, so I’m excited for both our moving adventure and to start this new school gig. If you aren’t doing the whole public school route, shoot me a DM and flood me with curriculums and all your tips and stories because SO COOL. Kid in a candy shop over here 😂 im especially excited for my boys ⬆️ and so glad they will be getting more time together and in NATURE 🌳✌🏻✌🏻✌🏻

Before we ventured off the beaten path, got lost, my phone died, we wandered down a cliff side to find our way back to the trail head, I slide down on my backside and we had to use the GPS on Pokemon Go to find our way. 🙈 Good times and fun memories on this family adventure! 🤣

You can’t ever be 100% prepared to travel with toddlers.
Last year, BC and I were jet-setting for the first couple months of the year and he traveled soooooo easily. He didn’t cry on the planes, he slept well, things were way easy.
Friends. Today my husband and I were the parents on the plane with the screaming toddler. The one who was inconsolable and didn’t even want his boob *gasp*.
I wanted to feel bad because the passengers around us bore witness to our son being, well, a toddler who was overstimulated, overtired and wanted to meet and greet everyone personally. But I didn’t have the energy to feel bad because wrangling him took all of my energy (and deodorant).
If you guys ever see parents traveling with their kids and one is acting cray, smile at the parent. Offer a drink. A snack. To entertain the other children. Hell, a hug. It’s harder on us than it is on everyone else—I promise.

Thoughts on Old Tucson Studios, you ask? Obviously it’s no Rome. But for the glimpse of Hollywood’s portrayal of the American West, it’s pretty cool. You realize here that cowboys used to be the box office stars. And that’s a pretty fun American story to explore!
Relaxing and enjoying our last day in Hawaii floating along the the lazy river 🌅
We have so enjoyed the much needed chill out time from all the go go go travelling we have been doing. .
We feel well rested heading to our next destination, it will be a totally new experience for us. A new country and new culture to explore.
Any guesses where we are heading?

This little one only really started walking last week and today he hiked down from preschool base camp all the way back to the car! He took off after his brother, stumbling over roots, picking himself back up again and again, with the proudest smile on his face. His big brother gave him hugs along the way and kept shouting “you’re doing it! Yay!” and I’m just feeling so proud of these confident, encouraging, adventurous little people that call me mama.
We spent the morning at Confederation Park. If you’ve never been to this natural playground you need to check it out, it’s super neat. After a whole whack of school kids showed up we walked down to the river and spent at least an hour and a half digging in the mud and throwing rocks in the water. So happy spring is here!

I live in a small countryside village, where everyone knows everyone. It’s lovely!
This year is the second year I was invited to photograph the children at the local Pre-school.
Like most Pre-schools, they used to have a photographer come in and pop these 2,3 and 4 year olds on a chair, ask them to smile, click, and off they pop.
But whilst this works for older children, and the school portrait is a staple in any household. It is much harder for younger children to look their best in this setting.
Anyway, my style if you know my work, is not like that at all. But, I really didn’t know how it would be accepted.
Also, it’s great if children smile and laugh in photos, but I also love it when they are just being themselves, curious, engrossed, focused and simple doing what they love most.
Anyway, I’m so pleased that the parents who collected their images felt the same way. I have received so many lovely emails, messages on Facebook and parents who have stopped me in the village and beyond to tell me how much they love their photos.
As you can imagine, I was completely filled with emotion. So to those parents, thank you, because not only do I love taking photographs, it makes me so happy to know that I have captured your child’s personality in a way that only you as a parent can understand. Not a cardboard cut out of a person, but your child and who they are. #schoolportraits#blackandwhite#children
As we’ve been preparing for our first trip that is longer than 3 months, while simultaneously packing up and moving out of our house, Instagram has been pushed to the back burner for us. We are still making time to explore as a family and we hope to be sharing more regularly in the future. One of the places we had yet to visit in Puerto Rico 🇵🇷 was Vieques. We finally made it happen and it was awesome.
Vieques is an amazing island on the east side of Puerto Rico. It’s a captivating island that moves on bonafide island time. The beaches and short hikes were great. There are so many recreational areas but the crowds were almost non-existent. Beaches that would be pack to the brim on the main island were practically empty even on weekends. It was a blast for all of us. There were numerous highlights during our stay.
The bioluminescent bay tour was spectacular. It’s the second biobay we’ve visited but it was significantly more impressive than the previous one and definitely worth a visit. The nearly 400 year old Ceiba tree was also really neat. Jon and the kids were able to find numerous places to fish.
The food in Vieques was one of the most notable elements of our trip. Every restaurant we ate at was delicious. But, the most memorable meal was definitely the Paella 🥘 that was cooked by our host and served on our terrace with an ocean view. Waldo, with Bird’s Nest Studios was an outstanding host and cook. As he cooked the paella, he taught the kids the history of the dish.
Like many of Vieques’ visitors we were enchanted with our time and will definitely return.

City with kids - A dream or a nightmare? 💃😂 we would lie if we said it was easy spending the days in Havanna with a 1 year old.. 🙄 But somehow you'll manage! We were strolling around when it was nap time for Lova, and when she woke up we found little squares where she could run around for a bit. Being in a stroller all day is not very appreciated 😁 Do you have any city tips with kids?
