When you've been meditating and off with your little most nights for the past 2 weeks and he finally asks me if I want to do a meditation!!

Ruth is part of our team and she brought a new version of morning meditations at the school with the kids. We are grateful for that and we want to continue working deeply with the whole school and hopefully the families. Meditation rest the mind, body and spirit. It has to be daily as brushing teeth, but children should never be forced to meditate, they should be given the same gentle encouragement that we give ourselves when it comes to meditation practice. “Y al final de cada día, al final de cada semana, al final de mi vida, quiero poder decir que contribuí más al mundo de lo que criticaba”. - Brené Brown.

Estamos agradecidas, y por eso queremos seguir trabajando profundamente con toda la escuela y, con suerte, con las familias. La meditación descansa la mente, el cuerpo y el espíritu. Debe ser algo diario no una actividad puntual, sino, como cepillarse los dientes, pero a los niñ@s nunca se les debe obligar a meditar, se les debe dar el mismo aliento que nos damos a nosotros mismos cuando iniciamos la práctica de la meditación.
Before and after ::: I’ve posted about my process of painting thank you notes in my stories before, but I want to make a post to give some more insight around this process and how healing it has been for me ✨
— while illustrating my books, I felt the need to create an image that was exactly what I imagined, and my attitude towards my art became more about the product rather than the process of creating. 💧 Knowing that I’m going to cut up the final piece for the gratitude notes has helped me create from a place of non-attachment and allowed me to flow and truly get lost in the process.
— creating one large painting with the intention of gratitude, and then cutting it up into little pieces to spread to individuals from all over the world has a deeper message : that we are all connected, part of an orchestrated whole, and we can come together like a beautiful work of art. Each piece is a work of art on its own and will end up in a different part of the world, but it’s a part of the same canvas, the same source. 🦋

Schools in deprived areas teach meditation to help those affected by violence.
“Children internalise things, but what mindfulness has done is bring a number of quieter children to the surface – children who we’d never have known were going through such anxiety and stress at home. They haven’t wanted to speak to their mum and dad about it but it’s coming out in these sessions.”
One nine-year-old-boy confided that “petal breathing” – where the children open and close their fingers in time with their breath – helped him to forget about “all the scary stuff”. “If I concentrate on my breathing, the worrying thoughts just go ‘pop’ and disappear,” he said.
We at Talula Little promote Yoga Through Fashion and believe teaching Mindfulness to children of all ages helps give them the tools to deal with and control their emotions. So, more of this please! 🙂

Whether you are taking a test or flying in a plane ... ✨ I wrote this line in The Safety Rock and imagined kids using their stones during these anxiety provoking moments. It’s so beautiful to see it become a reality in photos like this one that @coffeeandrainbows shared! 💛 — I got the idea for the Safety Rock because I had anxiety riding in cars when I was a kid, and I found a “lucky rock” on the ground that I held in cars. I didn’t realize it, but I was setting an intention to feel safe, and it worked to relieve my anxiety. The rock didn’t change any external outcomes, but it made me feel internally safe and peaceful.
Life can be stressful, and the best thing we can do for ourselves is make our nervous system our ally instead of our enemy 💛
✨STORY OF MY LIFE✨
I skyped my family back in Canada today and although I’m so grateful to be able to see them through technology the long distance never gets easier. My mom pulled me a tarot card this evening that was so fitting to the way I’ve been feeling. There is inner beauty in everything be it long distance or not. Not being able to see this cute little button everyday obviously won’t get any easier but I am so thankful that she came into my life and the time that we do get to spend together is precious and dear. 🙏🏼 “As I tell myself the story of what’s happening in my life, I choose to make it the kind of story where even the tough parts have a sort of inner beauty. It’s ultimately a happy story, where every character (no matter how wicked), is doing their best. And lemme tell you, it’ll be worth it when I earn that Pulitzer Prize for best inner monologue.”

Doing yoga definitely shifted my mindset and gave me a more positive outlook on life. It created space for me to learn to be kind to myself. I also learnt that even when I think I can’t do a pose my body usually can it’s my mind holding me back.
A lot of kids today are trained into only seeing the things that go wrong in their lives that they miss all the special and magical moments. It also means they are so hard on themselves that they don’t see the positives they have to offer to the world.
Doing yoga in the classroom with them teaches them how to calm their mind and creates a space for them to see the positives in their life and also those within themselves.
Seeing the good in the world makes it so much easier to be kind to ourselves and others. Spreading kindness makes us feel good, so really it’s a win all around 🙌

That awesome friday feeling when you have one of your besties over for a surprise after-school playdate, chocolate and all, and then another bestie rocks up for a suprise sleepover. 😀🤩😜 Not mine though unfortunately!
The excitement levels went through the roof and proved too much, even for Aida. So the girls sensibly decided to calm the vibes right down with some meditation and yoga 😂😂😂😂 Completely off their own backs I might add! Beautifully lead by Rosebud and enjoyed by all. Even the littlest lady loved it and was so chilled, she went straight to sleep with no agg.
Now to see if it's worked on the older two. 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
Being and feeling free of the past. The ups and downs, and in betweens. Making peace here and now. Moving forward with lessons and blessings 🙏

I am complete 💝🎈 I've been running around achieving this and that for my whole life. I always want to be different so that I'm special, I'm loved and I'm acknowledged. Even I'm taking a break in my career I have my schedule packed with all sort of trainings: introduction leaders program in Landmark worldwide, 2 yoga teachers training with Sri sri school of yoga and 1 meditation teachers training with Art of living. I have that I'm such a big person I want to be a communication course leader in 3 years and have financial freedom in 5 years so that I could serve humanity all that. I always want to do things not by the rules, not by design. It's all about achieving, rushing, going somewhere.
Underneath all the happy, loving, and powerful high achieving moments, deep down I always had that I am lonely.
Today, the first time in my life, I have the experience that I am complete, that complete complete. So that I could be content and move from action to action gracefully without "have to" go anywhere. Being fully present and just enjoy every single moment in this life time. 💡 I'm very grateful to have this realization.

Children naturally exercise mindfulness because they have less mental barriers and pre-determined beliefs that allows them to experience a pure state of mindfulness.
It may seem odd to think of children as calm, nonjudgmental, and mindful, but ultimately, children can achieve mindfulness and thereby practice meditation more easily than adults can.
The best way to teach kids is leading by example! They naturally want to do what you are doing! It’s that simple guys! If you’re new to meditation yourself, it’s time to step your game up and start practicing meditation yourself so you both can benefit from it and grow stronger together! Mindfulness is a life skill tool💫 And just as with the body, we need to train it to become stronger/better, likewise mindfulness is also a muscle that takes practise and practise to be able to ripe the benefits.
Ultimately, in the midst of it all, mindful techniques aims to teach children useful tools to be calm & relax in day to day...💭🍃
Can you see it?! A big bubble 🎈inside of my belly and every time I breathe in, the bubble gets bigger as belly expands.
As I exhale, the bubble gets smaller as belly relaxes.
🎈Oops, don’t breathe too fast it will pop the bubble.
5-10 balloons 🎈 breathe and we close our eyes saying secret relax words.
