A birthday feast fit for a king! Master 7 requested hotdogs (with all the trimmings) for his birthday dinner, but as Miss 4 doesn’t like them he asked if I could make sausages and wraps as well so she didn’t miss out. How could I resist? I also made sweet potato chips, paprika spiced cauliflower popcorn, steamed zucchini and roast carrot (as well as homemade tomato sauce and caramelised onion). The kiddies loved being able to serve themselves...they may have had thirds! Hopefully they sleep tonight... #birthdaydinner#eatyourveggies#nonasties#homemade#busymumma#madewithlove

Delilah loves Posh! She just gave her mama (me) a Posh pedi and a Posh facial! She then chose Hot & Gold for herself...a face mask we BOTH love to use! She has the most sensitive skin but I feel good knowing that our products use only the best ingredients on earth that are good for her delicate skin. Pretty excited that I have a girly girl to play Posh with 😁. Oh, we got manicures at the nail salon after school today too!!! #motherdaughterpampering#kidapproved#perfectlyposh#giftposh
The verdict is IN!
Spiderman Into The Spiderverse was awesome. The graphics are AMAZING, so much going on visually that the artist in me was like😍. The story was so well done. I didn't get bored once, which happens never at kid movies. .
Overall, it was waaaay better than I was expecting!! .
Trevor: This was the best Spiderman ever! I wanna see it again, and again, but with my Dad next time and in 3D. (Lol, I can't do 3D) .
Royce: I looooove you Spidy! You can come to my house to play now. Ok? 😂
So, made a vegan friendly dish for a potluck... I loved the looks and questionable reactions of should I try it or not 🤣 #work

Healthy one pot pasta 🍝 this @skinny taste pasta and meat sauce recipe is a family favorite. Super tasty & everything cooks in the instant pot so I only have to clean one dish 🙌🏻 full recipe and method from are in stories
⚡️NEW RECIPE ALERT ⚡️ Last night was jiu-jitsu night for my kids, and besides a pack of hamburger out, I had no idea what I was making for supper 😣 * I didn’t make my meal plan last week and now I am lost!! *
So I fried up the hamburger with chopped Brussels sprouts, onions, mushrooms, and garlic, and then added in some homemade gravy and some bacon bits 💥 VOILA 💥
In about 20 minutes, I had a yummy veggie-based supper on the table 🙌 (I served it on a slice of bread for the kids)
Next time, I would make more gravy, add cheese, and leave the bacon bits out (maybe sprinkle a few on top before serving)
I didn’t get a chance to snap a 📸 of it (meal times are busy here), so you will have to use your imagination!!

Date energy balls are mine and my kids go to when craving something sweet. These are filled with healthy ingredients like flax seed, nuts, chia seeds...etc. I usually double or triple the recipe and freeze them for about two weeks worth of snacks/sweet treats. These have no added sugar and the recipe is versatile, incorporate what you like and/or have on hand. Full recipe and method is in story highlights!
School holidays means pancakes for brekky!!!! 🙌🏻❤️ These ones are BANANA FREE if you have any non banana lovers out there. 😆
Grain free, dairy free & sweetened with a small amount of honey they certainly got the tick of approval! 🤩
My daughter can usually taste the different flour used in grain free wraps & pancakes that I have tried before but not these ones!
If you are gluten sensitive or intolerant these would be amazing for you!
Happy to share, so hit me up below. 😎👌🏻
Researchers from NIH have identified some interesting news regarding red meat.
TMAO is a product that’s formed in the gut after breaking down proteins. It enhances the ability of cholesterol to deposit into the cells of artery walls. It also interacts with platelets by increasing the risk for clot-related events like heart attacks and strokes.
Researchers examined the effects when healthy adults consumed an 8 oz portion of red meat, white meat, or non-meat proteins daily for one month. Researchers found that TMAO tripled in the red meat group (putting them at risk for heart disease), but not in the white meat nor non-meat groups. All the diets were equal in calories, and the researchers repeated the experiment using a high-fat version of each diet and received similar results. Therefore, they know the effect was due to TMAO alone, not fat or calories.
What do you think of NIH’s discovery about red meat? Is it a game changer?

After my massage + float today, I was so hungry. I had already eaten a bunch of fruit while I was out and was really craving something savory. Rather than caving and grabbing a bite out, I came home and made this salad in 5 minutes. And it really hit the spot! Organic baby romaine topped with chopped celery, cucumber, tomatoes, diced leftover gold potatoes, a scoop of leftover sweet potato + a sprinkle of dulse flakes, pink salt & black pepper...with a scoop of no fat artichoke dip and a drizzle of orange “vinaigrette” (without vinegar & oil). It was so tasty and super quick to prepare, because I had already made the artichoke dip, salad dressing and pressure cooked the potatoes yesterday. Not all types of potatoes taste great leftover (in my opinion), but pressure cooked gold potatoes and sweet potatoes consistently do 🍠🙌 Thank God, because we eat potatoes every day now and love having them prepped in the fridge. 💚
