Dinner tonight was taco salad with romaine lettuce, seasoned ground turkey, shredded cheddar cheese, black olives, red onion, fresh guacamole, pickled jalapeños, cholula and a homemade roasted tomatillo salsa 😋💪🏼

Keto Chocolate Cake and cream cheese frosting with crushed pecans anyone🤷♀️???? I'm loving experimenting with this chocolate cake recipe. This is definitely my favorite so far. 😍😋
When someone first hears about a ketogenic diet they immediately think about ketoacidosis. Ketoacidosis is a condition that ONLY happens when you have type 1 diabetes. When glucose can't go inside the cells, these think they 're starving and start producing ketones in EXCESS. The combination of high blood glucose and high ketones are what causes the blood pH to drop, producing several health problems .
Nutritional ketosis is a normal state of the body that occurs when you use fatty acids as the primary source of energy. When the FA's break down, the ketones are produce and used as energy!
The ketone bodies where first discover many decades ago in a patient with type 1 diabetes and ketoacidosis, so people assumed they where a bad thing to have. But its actually the opposite. There has been many studies that proves they have many health benefits
Ya girl had a bee in her bonnet this morning and it impacted her workout. Boooooo. 👎🏽👎🏽👎🏽
Today was leg day and despite being normally v strong in this area I felt a little weak today. Especially with leg extensions. But I’d consider this a starting point of sorts and I’ll build upon these weights in time.
I haven’t worked up the cojones to think about deads or squats back at the racks yet, just cos I’m petrified of doing my back again, but eventually I’ll get back to it.
Swipe for today’s workout tho 👉🏽👉🏽👉🏽
I also wanted to do some LISS after legs but I was distracted by Sherlocking. Tomorrow is LISS day anyway so I have today to get some new music on the gym playlists so I don’t want to shoot myself out of boredom.
Idk what I’m eating today cos I forgot to take any meat out, so it looks like Joshys tuna and some salad for meeeeeeee today!
A slice of coconut meal loaf smothered in melted cheese and coriander... Delish!
Yesterday we grated some coconuts for lolo (coconut milk) and I made a couple of #keto loaves from the leftover, squeezed grated coconut. No waste! A slice is pretty filling and roughly 5 carbs. This was lunch. 😋🌴🌺 #ketorecipes#ketolife#ketosis#lowcarb#muefijifood#fijifoodie
So I’ve decided to do 24 hr fasts on Tuesdays and Fridays so I don’t eat aaaall the crap while I’m nannying. Then I’ll do 16 hour fasts on the other days. Let’s see how this goes 😬 #fasting#24hrfast#intermittentfasting
Cheesy, Keto-approved 'Bread'sticks 🧀🥖 BASE INGREDIENTS:
1.5 cups mozzarella cheese
2 large eggs
1/2 tsp Italian seasoning
1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
2 tbsp Parmesan cheese (optional)
Preheat oven to 350°F.
1.) Line a 9 x 9 inch square baking pan with parchment paper. In a food processor, add cheese, eggs and seasoning. Blend until everything is combined.
2.) Scoop out batter into baking pan. Carefully spread mixture until it covers the bottom of the pan.
3.) Bake for about 20 minutes. The crust should be fairly firm with no wet dough remaining. Remove from oven and let cool for a few minutes.
4.) Preheat oven to 425F. Carefully remove crust off of parchment paper and place onto an oven-safe cooling rack. The cooling rack will allow the bottom to crisp.
5.) Sprinkle surface with remaining cheese. If desired, you can substitute 2 tbsp of mozzarella for 2 tbsp of parm which gives it a different flavor.
6.) Place cooling rack into the oven and cook bread sticks for 5 minutes or until cheese is melted and blistered.
Time to get emotional lol.
I’ve done on and off dieting for at least 2 years. I do it for 3 months lose weight and do it all over again it really is a vicious cycle.
Then one day I saw myself eating in a reflection and cried. I felt disgusted I let myself get this far. I felt gross I hated shopping because all the cute shit never has my size. I just got tired. This is my second time doing keto and I’m hoping it to be the official lifestyle change I need. I remember my doctor telling me I needed to do blood work because he was almost positive I was diabetic or well on my way. At 20 years old to hear that broke me. I refused to go do the blood work scares for the results. It’ll never happen until you’re at rock bottom and tired. You can do it. We can do it. If anyone ever needs a buddy or any motivation always feel free to reach out 🙃 #keto#ketorecipes#weightlossquotes#weightloss#ketoaf#ketosis#ketogenic#lchf#bepositive#ketotransformation
Gotta keep the essentials stocked. Who doesn’t love a corner full of cream cheese, kerrygold, and regular butter (I use kerrygold when eating raw butter like a fat bomb and regular butter for cooking and baking). Also, little victory for me today. Finally cleaned my house of all non keto/low carb foods. I’d been hanging onto sugar, flour, pasta, rice, etc like a little food hoarder. Not using it but struggling to get rid of it. Well I just packed it all up to give to family this weekend. No point hanging onto it anymore. It’s been 9 months and counting. Not going back this time!
Just sending everyone a little love and power 💪 I've been feeling a bit stuck with my #healingjourney lately. Going keto can be hard when struggling with #candida on top, and experiencing really intense carb cravings has been a daily struggle for me. I made a keto treat over the weekend and reacted as I do when ingesting sugar. Suddenly my yeast infection was back, my dandruff, rash and CONSTANT sugar cravings were back in full force. Having been doing so well for 2 months, it really threw me off that I reacted as strongly as I did 😟
Regardless, we all have setbacks, and although they suck and seem overwhelming, we WILL get through it. Being kind to myself and focusing on what I know works for me will be key in finding my way back to balance. ❤
This picture makes me feel really emotional...I was so sad. You can see it on my face. I woke up every single day and the first thought that would pop into my brain was how much I hated myself for getting so heavy. I never thought that would happen to me. I was athletic in high school and had a nice figure..never in a million years thought that I’d be tipping the scales at 300lbs. Keto has literally saved my life. I am happy now. I’m confident. I’m PROUD of myself. Tomorrow makes 9 months since I decided to change my life. Only 9 months...if you’re feeling like that girl on the left and you don’t think you can do it..I PROMISE you can. Educate yourself and dedicate yourself. Waking up and feeling good about yourself makes all the difference. 💕 I ain’t done yet! .
