Day 17 of #fantasywipfebruary is side character Sunday, where we introduce our favourite sidekick.
Perhaps the true sidekick of Seregn is Bear. Bear only enters the story about partway through but quickly worms his way into the team. He’s friendly, boisterous, smart, alert, and protective, oh, and he has an amazingly fluffy coat. 😉
Now my boy in this pic is many of those things and is the inspiration for Bear. But he isn’t exactly Bear. You see, he’s the biggest ‘fraidy cat! There’s a big noise? He skitters away. Something unexpected happens? See him scuttle to safety behind someone’s legs! But golly his antics make me laugh. 😂
Who’s your favourite sidekick?

Ay Up Me Ducks! 🦆 Mah name’s Minneh un I’m a Keeshond. I recentleh got bite on mah ear by a Staffeh who was gerring a bit larreh, flamin’ skank was aboutazevvy as Mike Tyson. Proper solid innit. I was just mindin’ mah own beeswax - just went up the offeh with mah Mum and then inta town for a coffeh ☕️ I gorra be honest, it really frit meh cos I got taken down the ospiccle but such is life and you gorra just gerronwirrit! I’m now living with my big sister and George in London which was a bit scareh for a lickle old East Midland’s girl but I been learning new fings. I gorron the bus for the first time, I went up to a proper posh bar and I ate some weird stuff called Freekeh, I mean very different to mah usual chip cob and donner meat, but I liked it. So I guess it’s to say that you can teach an old dear new tricks and you can adopt dogs at any age! Seeyah. #OldDogGetsFreekeh. .
*translation from Lesta* Hello my name is Minnie and I am a Keeshond. I was recently involved in an assault by a rather aggressive Staffordshire Bull Terrier, following a leisurely stroll into town for a caffeinated beverage. I ended up in hospital which was frightening, but I’m moving on from my traumatic event and making the most out of learning from this experience. I am now residing in London with my sister and George. I went on a bus for the first time and had a lovely evening in Spiritland where I consumed Freekeh with Goat’s curd. This was rather a shock for my taste buds which are accustomed to chips in a bread roll or donner meat. I would just like to say that old dogs can have new positive experiences at any age, so please don’t neglect us oldies in the rescue centres. Good bye.
I mostly feel like an absolute mess when Cress and I are working together... like I cannot make myself remember what it’s like to walk into a ring and not be dying of anxiety... where is my unyielding confidence of my teens and early 20s???? So with 2 days until our first show I thought I’d video our little training sesh which would either boost or bury me. Despite being too much of a perfectionist at the end and making Cress over stretch a bit, I think we might survive the ring on Saturday. Cress has been BY FAR the most challenging puppy but the last couple months she has rewarded me ten fold with her many “I get it mom!” moments.

We had some errands to run downtown today, so we brought Mishka with us. He was a big hit on the subway, and he had fun spending the day with us!
