Simplicity used to do the trick back in the days.. aaand it still works. Not too heavy not too light, not too complex of a movement but just right🙏🏼😬

Anyone else shoot instinctively? Only a handful of people do these days. And it seems this method has a bad rap and is bashed a lot as being way too hard to be effective with. But honestly for hunting and especially shooting moving/flying targets its very effective. Just like a shotgun. I think shooting targets and for new shooters the gap may have an advantage. The compound shooter who is used to an eternity at full draw may find the transition to this method easier. However lately I've heard a few people mention an interest in going instinctive. Don't be scared! You won't be shooting tiny groups right out of the gate. But keep at it and I believe you'll be a better shooter in hunting situations. Super simple this week with lots of options to mix + match. First pic, from top left: • sliced bell peppers
• frittata with @vitalfarms pastured eggs, pre-chopped broccoli, sautéed diced onion, and a package of @applegate deli ham chopped up
• sliced carrots + celery
• @butcher_box chicken thighs pressure cooked in the @instantpotofficial with just sliced onion + @redmondrealsalt
Chicken will be great with bell peppers, avocado (not shown) + @flavorgod chipotle seasoning, or hot sauce + @primalkitchenfoods ranch dressings + carrots/celery. - - -
Second pic: petite carrots I can roast whole, pre-made cauliflower rice, power greens + arugula. Greens go under or on top of all the things and cauli-rice and quick cooking carrots will be the perfect dinner side. #KeepItSimpleStupid
Looking for a dog friendly brewery to hang out this summer? Or maybe you want a place that gets back to the basics when it comes to their beer styling. Check out today's post on @indycraftbrew . I talk about my trip to @roundtownbrewery this weekend, and my absolute love for their lager. #indycraftbrew
This is as simple as it needs to be!! Grab a kettle bell / get some band & get moving!!

I LOVE this simple programming approach that I learned from Dan John. The idea of “Up-Down” programming is to pair standing exercises with ground based exercises in an alternating fashion.
This is a great way to increase metabolic demand without resorting to dangerous, nonsense exercises like burpees that can be hazardous for the shoulder, wrist and back.
This can also be a great way to train against the common functional limitations that come with aging. More than 50% of adults over the age of 65 report that they struggle with stooping, bending over, kneeling and getting up off the ground. By selectively pairing exercises that force the client to move between standing and prone/supine you can provide your clients with training that can improve their functionality with age.
This circuit is one of my go-to Up-Down pairings with my clients
🔹⬆️KB Swing x 20
🔹⬇️Push-Up x 20
🔹⬆️Goblet Squat x 10
🔹⬇️Ab Rollout x 10

Meal prep is DONE!! ✅
I’ve been doing meal prep for a long time and I still keep it simple!! I often hear, “I can’t eat the same thing all week.” I respect that. But what I can’t do is NOT be prepared. I LOVE food! I love flavorful food. I love the food I eat daily. I use salt-free spices to provide that flavor. I know that food is fuel for my body and it serves a specific purpose. I have learned to eat with purpose, not emotion. That was a game changer for me.
Meal prep makes life easier. It eliminates mindless, careless eating. It eliminates poor nutrition choices. It gives me power over food! I am in control of what and how much I eat.
If you need support as you regain control over food, I’d love to Invite you to join my challenge group. We support, encourage, and hold each other accountable. Why not you?!?! Why not now?!?
I took my @recycledfirefighter "Battalion 24-Hour" pack out for the first time yesterday, and it is AWESOME!! My GoRuck pack is great FOR RUCKING, but this Recycled Firefighter pack, while equally as rugged and well-made, is much better suited in my opinion, for every-day kind of use. The genius lies in its simplicity. The orange interior is brilliant, and makes finding stuff inside the pack MUCH EASIER especially in low light. This pack is the PERFECT size with exactly the pocket space & organization, and pouches it needs without being too much. My ONLY wish is that it had an exterior water bottle pouch (or attachment point). I have a couple of 5.11 Backpacks that I like, but 5.11 has trouble filling the gaps with packs of this size. My gripes about 5.11 are that most of their stuff is either A LITTLE too big, or A LITTLE too small, and they have so many little pockets inside of pockets, that I lose stuff because I put it in a hidden pocket that I will literally forget existed!! This pack is exactly what it needs to be!! I love it!! Start em young! With our youth (under 12 years of age) we emphasize a lot of flexibility, mobility, and PREACH amazing form! Without all three MANY youth will lack form and will learn the wrong way the first time around! ———————
Roman, showing one of our regressive squat exercises here called a Goblet Squat. The word “Goblet” coming from medieval times. This is how they used to hold big goblets of alcohol, no joke!
Using a @perform_better band he drives his knees out to prevent knee valgus, which is an improper motor pattern that puts a lot of stress on the MCL and ACL of the knee, which can be potentially very damaging of not corrected. ———————
We typically do 3-4 sets of 6-12 reps while cueing the client “soft touch” or “an egg is on the bench, don’t break it!” #keepitsimplestupid#squats#gobletsquats#performbetter#movementasmedicine#coreworkout#youth#berelentless#mobility#flexability#perfectform
