Road Trip! I’m not an eat-right-away-when-I-wake-up person. I prefer to start with a cup of tea and ease into the day (and subsequent food). But when you’re trying to get out of Chicago early for a holiday weekend, breakfast needs to get creative. Hello, peanut butter banana overnight oats! Oats, @califiafarms toasted coconut almondmilk, @siggisdairy vanilla yogurt, banana, and the star- @crazyrichardspb peanut butter. (All conveniently loaded into an almost empty Crazy Richard pb jar the night before!) Healthy carbs, fat, and protein for a road trip win!

1️⃣ We eat a meal with a high/medium/low G.I (glycemic index). Depending on this index the carbs from the meal will release quicker or slower. ——————————————
2️⃣ When the digestive system processes carbs, these are converted into glucose and others like glycogen for the muscle.
3️⃣ When this glucose, flowing through the blood stream, reaches a certain level, insulin is released into the bloodstream and pushes this glucose inside the cell to be stored and used as energy.
4️⃣ This process of putting glucose into the cell could be successful, so the glucose levels within the bloodstream decreases (normal active person with a healthy lifestyle) or unsuccessful and the action of insulin is required at a higher dosis in order to decrease this levels (Diabetics)

When I was in my 3rd trimester all I did was get home from work and put my feet up 🤦🏻♀️ and boy did I pay for it afterwards! I gained 60 pounds that took 2 years lose! It wasn’t until I discovered 21 Day Fix and committed 100% to the program that I was able to lose the weight.
I’m so proud of Fernanda and so glad that I can help her at this amazing time of her life.
