HEYYYYY looks who back!!! I hope everyone has an amazing day and stays cool!! Starting off this Monday with a fresh piece of sourdough + garlic @fourthandheart ghee + medium boiled egg sprinkled with red pepper flakes!! 🙏🏼🙏🏼
Not working out just yet but making sure diet supports my recovery as much as possible !! 😊
Here are a few things to bear in mind, when picking out food to recover from an injury:
🌟Make sure you focus on getting your micronutrients in: think vitamins, minerals! Leafy greens, nuts, fats from fishes...
🌟 If you were cutting, I highly suggest bringing back your calories to maintenance to make sure you are fueling your body enough !
🌟Stay hydrated. Make sure you are giving your body all it needs to recover.
🌟Make sure you eat anti-inflammatory foods. Common ones include ginger, turmeric, blueberries, salmon, avocado, nuts.
🌟Avoid inflammatory foods like sodas, processed or fried foods.
🌟 Treat yourself a little ! Injuries can take a toll on your mental health, if you are very used to being active. Going out for a nice lunch with friends, or an ice cream date can cheer you up.
🌟Final little tip is courtesy of @mr.toitoi for suggesting it to me in the comments: get lavender tea, to help feeling calm and relaxed. This will help to feel soothed before bed to make sure you get all the sleep you need to recover fully! 💕I got a tea called “Sérénité” by @yogitea which mixes lavender with skullcap flower(which is known to relieve anxiety and insomnia).
Pic shown here is today’s yummy meal prep with sweet potato chips, smoked salmon, kale rice and roasted peppers. All the details are on my story and in my food highlights if you want to know how to make it ❤️
Hope all of those tips help some of you! Even if you’re not injured, making sure you have some of those foods in your diet can go a long way to make sure your body is happy and healthy ☀️🤗 Have the best week❤️

Major kale salad cravings tonight! 😍🌱 @milkandeggscom was delivered straight to my door this morning! When I head out of town I usually place an order on Milk and Eggs so my groceries are at my door the next morning! It makes life so much easier and then I don’t have to rush off to the grocery store first thing!🙌🏻 .
What’s on my plate?!— Kale massaged in tahini dressing topped with goat cheese, pumpkin seeds, and spicy roasted chickpeas (1 can chickpeas rinsed and drained then tossed in coconut oil, cumin, chili powder, salt, and garlic + then roasted in the oven for 20 mins at 400F) Mhmm!!! 💯 Use code “becksliveshealthy” for $20 off your order of $40 or more on @milkandeggscom ✨ #becksliveshealthy
Happy Sunday! Busy in the kitchen making some other treats this morning, but bringing back these Baked Eggs with kale, onions, garlic, and cherry tomatoes topped with vegan mozzarella cheese, fresh basil and parsley, avocado, and pepper. Here’s how to make it:
Use a small cast iron and sauté your veggies first (if you don’t have a cast iron or oven safe pan, sauté the vegetables first and then transfer them to an oven safe bowl, baking dish, or ramekin)
Crack in your eggs, top with herbs, and bake at 350 for about 10-15 minutes. You want to remove the eggs right when the whites set to prevent overcooking the yolk.
Top with avocado, and dig right in!
Happy Sunday, and Happy Father’s Day! This is the kale salad with avocado (no cheese), and lemon tahini dressing. SO good! Grateful for the best dad ever, and an amazing husband who is also an incredible father (and grateful he was happy to go to church and then eat his way through the day with us) ❤️ have a beautiful day you guys!
