Liberal Privilege at its finest folks. And let’s not forget how General Flynn and George Papadopoulos have been treated as well. Jussie’s record has been wiped clean and the case has been sealed after faking a hate crime and wasting thousands of taxpayers’ dollars while also continuing to further divide our country. I have a lot of questions....but one thing’s for sure...we won’t ever forget what you did Jussie Smollett. .

Thought of making a proper video on this.
But the situations which we're watching forced me to post this ASAP. We're probably not that clear with steps, but we're surely clear with the message and what we feel.

While painting this nocturnal scene last night I could help bet think about that cold, dark night in the heart of #chitown when #jussiesmollett was savagely beaten by two racists. Finally, today we have justice 4 Jussie and hopefully he’ll be able to write those bad guys off on his taxes. #art#painting#acrylic#nocturne#justice

#art#artwork#sculpure#stillife#nature#taxidermy#wip#justice

DIANA! A diva da soul music completa hoje 75 anos! O video recorda o encontro de Diana Ross e @MichaelJackson
All charges have been dropped against Empire actor Jussie Smollett for filing a false police report following an alleged hate-crime attack. State's Attorney Kim Foxx's office says, "After reviewing all of the facts and circumstances of the case, including Mr. Smollett's volunteer service in the community and agreement to forfeit his bond to the City of Chicago, we believe this outcome is a just disposition and appropriate resolution to this case." #justice#crime#punishment#law#legal

Despite only having one computer, a poor internet connection and a student-teacher ratio of 58:1, his students have taken part in international science competitions and won an award from the Royal Society of Chemistry.⠀
“Africa will produce scientists, engineers, entrepreneurs whose names will be one day famous in every corner of the world. And girls will be a huge part of this story,” he said."⠀
Today we celebrate the work of Kenyan science teacher Peter Tabichi as he is awarded the Varkey Foundation prize.Tabichi gives away 80% of his income to help the poorest students at the poorly-equipped and overcrowded school who could not otherwise not afford uniforms and books.⠀

Israel is expected to host the Eurovision Song Contest in May 2019, following Netta Barzilai’s win at the 2018 edition.
Israel is shamelessly using Eurovision as part of its official Brand Israel strategy, which presents “Israel’s prettier face” to whitewash and distract attention from its war crimes against Palestinians.
As if that wasn’t enough, Israel has announced that event will take place in Jerusalem, in defiance of the United Nations, which does not recognize Israel’s sovereignty over any part of the city. The UN and the European Union also consider East Jerusalem as an integral part of the occupied Palestinian territory, illegally annexed by Israel.
But regardless whether held in Jerusalem, Tel Aviv or anywhere else under the control of Israel’s apartheid regime, this contest must be boycotted to avoid complicity and business-as-usual with this regime and to avoid irreversibly tarnishing the Eurovision brand with Israel’s egregious human rights record.
BUT NOT ALL HOPE IS LOST FRIENDS! People from around the world are reaching the same conclusion:
In Iceland, almost 8% of the country’s population signed a petition to boycott Eurovision 2019.
In Ireland, former Eurovision winner Charlie McGettigan, the Mayor of Dublin, politicians and trade union leaders called for a boycott of Eurovision 2019.
Similar calls emanated from the UK, Sweden, Malta, Australia and the Spanish state, with growing public discontent reverberating across Europe.

This is our confidence—if we ask anything according to the will of God (the law is what God calls right), He hears us (1 John 5:14-15). That means more than hearing our audible words. It means God takes the case. With God as your Judge, you can be sure that He will swiftly act on your behalf and uphold the laws of His Kingdom! Share with someone who needs this today! #Justice#KingdomLaws#KingdomThoughts

#JussieSmollett is a free man. His case has been dropped or in the words of Fox News, "the judge granted a nolle pros, which essentially means that the case has been dropped and that he will no longer be prosecuted for the alleged crime.
It's unclear at this time why the court decided not to proceed with prosecution." Does it sound fishy or is it time to move on? #news#empire#innocent#justice#tvnews#legalsystem
here’s your divination for this morning. i’ve been up for 6 hours. i could pick a lot of different things, but we’ll start here. i will say that both jude and my niece (psychic and not) have libra moons. and that that french bit i found in strasbourg in 1995: write translate travel. learn to live anywhere. start right away.

oh...rose wanted me to call her alabaster rose. if you look up the qualities of alabaster as a mineral, you’ll see why, but #rosesasphaltworld feels fitting..for many reasons.
I posted about this HORRIFIC hate crime when it first happened...

RP via @empowereddefense - This is horrifying and I don’t want anyone else to be caught by surprise when dealing with a violent aggressive male adult. ➡️ LADIES PLEASE understand males usually fight blow for blow; meaning if you hit him, be ready for a hit right back. Slap for slap, punch for punch, kick for kick usually. But ALSO, it is DANGEROUS as you see [in video] to strike someone male or female, one time and think they will not come back X 10. This young lady obviously was not ready for a fight. She stepped back after she struck him & he came back punching her several times in her head and body!
Plus, he had a gun! Thankfully he didn’t shoot her!🙏🏾 This guy was arrested that night and soon after bonded out. He had 3 charges initially from reports that I immediately was upset by because I know, as a former cop, he had a weapon that aggravated that situation & he should have had a felony charge or at least a couple more added. [Reports now state the charge was upgraded to Agg. Assault due to the victim's injuries.]
Please take heed to some of the SWIVEL principles
TAKE NOTE ➡️
•SCAN your surroundings- knowing where you are, who is around, etc. •WE- there were clearly bystanders across the street watching, gasping, and filming. Also she was alone and 1 on 1 with a physically more powerful threat. •INTUITION- picking up on any alarms internally from you that warn of fear or danger. But also aware of body language signals from the aggressor and potential threat. •VOICE- physical confrontations should be a last resort. Use your voice assertively with volume to stand your ground and tell a threat what to do and or not do. It is important to speak so other witnesses can hear as well. •ESCAPE- be familiar with where you are and how you can quickly escape an area or environment. How to defend yourself and protect yourself from a threat. RUNNING is okay if that is all you can do. •LEVELS- establish safe boundaries, & know what to do if crossed. SPACE was not at a SAFE DISTANCE between this lady and her attacker. 《《 ⬇️ CONT'D BELOW ⬇️ 》》

It was an absolute treat to listen to three remarkable defence lawyers from Making A Murderer and The Staircase share the stories of their wrongful conviction cases.
Wrongful convictions are an issue I’ve become closer to and more passionate about. I’ve been fortunate enough to connect with and meet numerous exonerees who have been on this journey and come out the other end, innocent people ready to tell their stories and change the system.
Tonight has reinforced why I’m producing my TV series, because people who have been victimized by the justice system deserve to have their voices heard and we as a society need to listen. And the innocent people who remain bars need a reason to keep hoping.
And to see a theatre full of potential jurors learn about the flaws in the legal system is a positive step forward in correcting those errors and raising awareness.
Thank you @jaderice__ for taking me to such a special event that’s close to my heart

For the social media folx who lurk or repost without taking concrete steps to combat oppression.
Lately I’ve noticed a lot of people acknowledging their privilege (which is good) but not taking note of HOW they’re showing up, or how much space they’re occupying. I worry that a lot of folx view “acknowledging privilege” as a finish line, rather than understanding that it’s one step in an enormous spectrum of equity and inclusion work. Once you’re aware of your privilege, are you also developing an awareness of how you’re spending it? (Often times this looks like being quiet and listening!)

Ele abraçava a tudo. Cada gota de vida"
