“Jen Lowe has an excellent knowledge of properties in the subiaco area. She was very accomodating and not pushy at all, unlike a number of other agents we had dealings with. No tricks or gimmicks, Jen is very genuine and intelligent. We would highly recommend Jen as an agent to pursue your property needs” - Paul, Subiaco

For Throwback Thursday, we are featuring the Serpentine Cheese Factory! 🧀
The cheese factory was established around 1932 to provide a market for local farmers during the depression years. It was also an important step towards breaking the dependence on interstate cheese. The local demand for cheese was large, with the factory expanding and doubling its production in 1936.
Unfortunately, due to the large number of cheese factories opening in the South West of the state and the growing demand for whole milk, the factory was no longer viable and closed its doors in 1951.

🏅CLUB MEMBER OF THE WEEK🏅 .
💥💥Congratulations to Westies' first ever club member of the week, @sophiiesteel!💥💥 .
🛶Sophie was nominated because of her quick and calm response to falling out of the single scull this week. She handled it really well, stayed composed, got back in quickly and focused for the entire soaking wet row back to the shed, says coach Trina .
🎓Sophie is 16 and a Year 11 student at Corpus Christi College studying 6 ATARs including Chemistry, French, English Literature, Maths, Religion and Biology. Her goal after school is to study biomedical science or medicine .
🧁Here's a bit from Sophie: "I was only taught sweep rowing in NZ so when I moved to Perth and was thrown into a single on my first outing, it was a bit scary! I spent my first season at swan river rowing club but moved to WARC early last year and I really love it." .
🦄Interesting facts: Sophie started rowing in New Zealand in Year 8. She has done over 100 hours of community service, is heavily involved in performing arts at school and used to be a competitive horse rider with her own horse!

Well they don't call it shell beach for nothing! Trillions of these little shells form a 'beach' for 70 kms long and 10 meters deep!!!! You'll do the maths 😅
And the water with its intense light blue color is hypersaline so you'll float extremely well. To bad I was way to cold that day otherwise we'd definitely jumped in!
A fantastic morning filming the 5th and final episode of our weekly podcast and the pilot season. We've all learnt many new things, talked about some really interesting topics but most of all had a lot of fun.
Just a little appreciation message from "E" ! (👋): .
X When Borneo meets Morocco x
Hailing from the beautiful Borneo Island, an island known for being the third largest island in the world, having one of the oldest rainforest, Borneo Island is deeply rooted by our Indigenous culture, from our traditional long houses, our very long river full of saltwater crocs, our many headchiefs from our rich Indigenous groups, our traditional hand-tapped Borneo tattoo and ofcourse our history of being the island of the headhunters!
Being Indigenous myself, my love for the preservation and conservation of everything cultural, protecting Indigenous crafts and way of life started at a very young age just like the Indigenous learning their traditional crafts as part of life from when they were young.
Hence I am here today.
With my strong passion in sustainable living ♻️, arts, architecture & interior design, I started Cantik Gypsy as a platform for me to create awareness to some of the beautiful original traditional handwoven, knotted crafts that have been mass produced and copied alas the disappearance of these cultures.
I also work straight with our makers, their families and cooperatives to reduce the impact of oppression, not only with beautiful furnishings, custom orders and accessories made of sustainable materials, but ethically sourced vintage range.
Thank you to everyone that has been there supporting my dream and following my journey since I first started in 2013 with that big box of traditional handwoven and printed fabrics, sewing cushion covers, bags and kimonos with my domestic Janome machine and Bernina overlocker from our beachside home in Tarcoola Beach, #Geraldton ! 😍
We are having a little bit of hiccups due to some medical procedures in between but in a couple months to come, we are going to see Cantik Gypsy with some of the BEST handmade range yet and I cannot wait to share with you all! 😍 .
I hope with your support to be able to preserve the Indigenous crafts, reduce the impact of fast fashion and promote sustainable way of living for generations to come.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart 🙏🙏🙏 .
A journey into apocalypses both general and personal.
Karen (Zoë Tapper) and John (Ed Speleers), already facing the slow disintegration of their relationship, find themselves holed-up in their London flat as outside their door zombies roam. With their food supplies slowly running low, knocks on their door from desperate neighbours, and hungry zombies always waiting to get in, the couple are forced to make difficult decisions.
Award winning director Antonio Tublen’s Zoo offers some new twists on the genre in a film which focuses on the human aspects of the zombie movie. Interested in the fragile nature of social and romantic relationships as the world unravels rather than merely the simple spectacle of gore, Zoooffers an existential spin on the zombie film.
What’s your favourite motto in life? Mine is “slow and steady wins the race”. It’s a reminder to pace the journey and not get caught up in rushing, distractions or quick fixes. The journey is long - and to be enjoyed. 🌿 @suvstagram training for Oxfam at Great North Road (NSW) - all the best as she progresses towards her goals 😍
