The spicy citrus shimmering smell was so inviting, haven’t used orange lately, it’s so beautiful in this season, both the zest and the juiciness, I was intimidated by the amount of sugar, so used coconut 🌴 nectar and local 🍯 honey instead with much reduced amount. A joy to read to my munchkins in my second language German!!!!!!! A blessing to be able to do so and brings a smile to pass not only spanish but also german to them.
The brain needs stimulation. Needs to be challenged. We can make new connections every time we learn something new. Learning a new language, dancing, learning a new sport, learning an instrument all of those things that challenge various AREAS in the brain have been linked to: 1. Strengthening areas so that we can make our mind stronger. Better memory! Face mood fluctuations! Face stress better and become more resilient. It is not just about gathering knowledge is about pushing our own limits cognitively and beyond! Languages open our minds to new horyzons! I had this conversation with one of my clients this morning as she was insisting in wanting to look like a specific body type.To you all out there: #STRONG is the new skinny! It is NOT about a specific type of body! We see models, we see people in the fitness industry who may look lean and cut!...they are not you ! Dont try to follow or copy a specific type. Make YOUR unique BODY and MIND STRONG! So that u can enjoy life and prevent illnesses!
Focus on your own strength ! On staying FIT and feeling IT!!!!
Modern exercise science shows that working with weights (dumbbell OR even your own body like pull ups! ) may be THE BEST exercise for lifelong physical function and fitness.
But many make the mistake of focusing on cardiovascular #exercise... It is ok to go for a run or bike BUT NOT all the time! Focus on lifting in between!! OR bodyweight exercises GET some #MUSCLE into those legs! Glutes ! Arms! and also add regular #CORE routine as u see in the video.
Sit ups wont do much if u want to loose belly fat! But heavy lifting helps more!
Also Forget about the scale!!! 3 years ago I used to weight 110 lbs....
Well now Im a healthy 120! All MUSCLE gain. My clothes still fit the same! The best part I feel stronger! Have no back pain! Have been focusing on strength and also conditioning but as a combo.
It is not about the look !!! Dont focus on being skinny or thinner. Each body is different and at the end....Do you want to be strong, healthy and mobile when u reach 60 or 70? Or simply thin and be at risk of osteoporosis because maybe u have never done any strength training ???
It is about making USE of what you work on. Has to be Practical and functional for your life!!! The rest, how your body gets transformed comes as a result and is of course an added bonus!!! Like a rounder #booty! And yes who doesnt like the added bonus! But focus on strength first!
Working your muscles will help you shed excess fat, maintain healthy bone mass and prevent age-related muscle loss, the latter of which can start as early as your 30s if you DO NOT actively counteract it.

There was a time when joy was something I knew and understood, but couldn’t really connect with. 🤔 You could almost say it kind of scared me. It felt uneasy to enjoy myself fully and be carefree because I thought by doing this I'd be paying less attention to others and they would be hurt or feel neglected in a sense. I was always the one that people counted on for support and I took on that responsibility very seriously. What if something happened because I wasn't there? So whenever there was a lot of fun to go around, I'd hold back and then would feel bad and/or guilty for actually desiring that for my life. ⠀
I used to find my significance in being there for others, which left me feeling co-dependant and totally forgetting about ME. I was operating from sacrifice and the 'being there for others' turned into a chore instead of something joyful and exciting.⠀
Since an early age, having a special needs brother and a family that was going through a lot of grief after losing a baby at birth before I was born, I really didn't learn what it meant to be joyful. I learned to be there for others and help them feel good but me? I didn't know how to feel it for myself. As an adult and being in the Empowered Woman journey, one of the hardest things was to release that guilt that I could have fun, let go of that seriousness and opening up to connect with joy. When I was finally able to do that it was HUGE. It literally transformed everything around me. ⠀

Have just left a gift with each of the Burnit Bootcampers whilst they chomp into a well deserved breakfast after their last intensity session of the 28 days!!
