Following Sunday, the next 4 days had a way of dragging on, probably due to still being stuck in a dark room, secluded from the outside world, but they also seemed to fly by; it was almost like we walked into the Unit & when we were walking back out, it was dark outside. Korbyn continued to strive and we started to work on feeds Tuesday (21ml every 4 hours is where we started; it doesn’t seem like much but it was basically like we were starting all over again), both by breast and bottle. We struggled with the breast in the beginning but we figured that as long as we could get him eating constantly, then the sooner we got to go home, so we were not shying away from the bottle! Wednesday morning, there was talk about us possibly going home Thursday, so we were offered a room in the NICU to stay the night with Korbyn; it’s basically like a hotel room and you get to have the baby in the room with you just like you would at home; they keep the baby on a monitor for safety reasons but basically leave everything up to the parents. We had a great night; Korbyn ate his feeding amounts and when we woke up Thursday morning, there was still question as to whether or not we would be going home. The doctor wanted to monitor 2 more feedings before making her decision and after a long morning, 2PM rolled around and the doctors were ready to discharge Baby Korbyn! 10 long days; 10 miserably Long days of confusion, fear & exhaustion and we were finally ready to take our Baby home to be with his family. •
Every now and then I find it super special to go back through my old photos. So many magic moments with friends old and new. Faces that have come and gone. Memories forgotten that come back to life again. Thrilling moments of fun that I find joy in again. This bright yellow show ride has so much old charm but always bring new joy.
Sunshine yellow, possibly in the running for favourite colour status? (Just joking, Forrest green it’s always been you 💖)

Isaiah 43:1-3 Do not fear, for I have redeemed you; I have called you by name, you are mine. When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and through the rivers, they shall not overwhelm you; when you walk through fire you shall not be burned, and the flame shall not consume you. For I am the Lord you God, the Holy One of Israel, your Savior.
🌻 SUNFLOWERS 🌻
Of course I was going to do this flower lol. I took this picture from a bouquet Wyatt got me 🌻💕
The Sunflower’s name comes from the Greeks, and they even have a story of how they came to be; Apollo, the Sun god, turned Clytie into a flower after he no longer loved her, but of course she was still in love, so she (sunflowers) always face the sun, looking for Apollo.
Sunflowers have different meanings according to different cultures, but the most common is joy, adoration, loyalty, strength, and the sun. 🌞
In Native American cultures, this flower represents the harvest.
The Chinese believe they are a symbol of good fortune and a long life.
I chose this flower for my @ because I believe sunflowers are happy, when you see one you smile, and who doesn’t love flowers/nature. Like this flower, I want to spread joy and help people learn to see the bright side. And “healing” because I believe I was put on this earth to heal 🙏🏽
Do you like sunflowers? 🌻

Where do I even begin...
After a fun filled week, I must say my heart has never been fuller. Thank you to everyone who took me out and wished me a very happy birthday this past week! Every year, people come and go in my life but the ones that stay are truly worth keeping. As life progresses, it’s harder for everyone to keep in touch with one another but you guys have made it a priority to reach out to me from across the map to make my day a bit more special. And for that, I’m truly grateful for you all. No amount of money could ever replace the love that I have for my friends and family. 23 was a blast but let’s kick things up another notch this year! Who’s with me?
Huge thanks to @katduhleen for taking me out to my favorite plantation and for treating me out to dinner! ‘Twas a fun night sis
