Yesterday, before I went into the bathroom and saw myself in the mirror, I felt like I was just an obese, undesirable girl who had been feeling conscious of her stomach from yesterday's "binge" on food. But once I actually took a look at myself in the mirror, I was able to see my beauty--not because it wasn't there before, it's because I changed my mindset on how I looked at myself. I acknowledged and instilled in myself in that moment (whether consciously or not) that I was worthy of all the things I desired. I saw my overall weight loss and felt proud. I don't know if this is tmi...but there were times I would stand in front of the mirror nude and cry because I disliked my appearance. Eventually at that time though, I would build up enough courage to speak aloud words of self-love. But those days are long gone now, because I took the initiative one day to change for good my once negative mindset of I can't do XYZ and changed my eating and exercising habits in order to materialize the wants I had/have for my health and physique. I felt that I should write this post for anyone who experienced my low moments and show them that there's light at the end of the tunnel of the journey to self-love. It's a never ending tunnel though, because there's always room for more love haha Don't sulk anymore. Embrace the now. Our manager had an unwanted treadmill being stored in my stable. I used to enjoy walking/running on a treadmill back in my gym days in Stafford (2004/2005!), so it has come in the house for me to try out. First I had to clean that very dirty belt, which was exhausting for this Spoonie. I did a few minutes of walking yesterday. This morning I topped up my exercise after a short walk with Buzz (he doesn't like to walk far in the morning now, especially when the fields are wet). 5 minutes of gradually increasing the speed, including 1 minute of slow jog. I felt it afterwards, but not too much more pain.
