Friday the 13th part 3 is iconic for one major reason and that's the introduction of Jason's iconic hockey mask. An annoying bozo named Shelly brings the mask to camp, he is a practical joker much to the dismay of everyone else. It's funny that the coolest feature about Jason was made possible by one of the most annoying somewhat loveable loser type characters of all time. This movie is where the mould started to come together, people have a very defined image in their head when they think about Friday the 13th and it all started here. This isn't my favourite flick of the franchise but i find myself watching this one more than other instalments I like, it's hard to put my finger on it but this movie has major re watch value if you're a fan of Friday the 13th. You'll get everything you need from this film, you get Jason in a hockey mask, you get some kills and most importantly you get that 80's slasher nostalgic feeling. When you watch parts 1 and 2 it kind of feels like you're not watching a Friday the 13th film because the familiar imagery hasn't been established but when you watch this one you get the excitement knowing that the most familiar Jason look is going to wreck shop on camp crystal lake. Thank you Shelly for donating your hockey mask to more important causes , you're a legend for just that reason alone mate.

________________________________________________________ During filming, the dressing room for Kane Hodder @kanehodderkills , was a quarter of a mile down a dirt road. One night filming ended at at 2 a.m. and he was still in the Jason costume, and he decided to walk through the woods on a path to his dressing room. As he was walking someone approached him and asked if he was with the movie. He didn't reply, because he thought it was a pretty stupid question to ask, as he was standing there in full Jason costume. The man asked again, Kane took a little lunge for the guy and grunted. The guy took off, tripping and running. The next day director John Carl Buechler told Kane that the local sheriff was supposed to stop by, but he never showed. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
