Whilst I'm posting some of my For Your Eyes Only collection should post my first edition.
For Your Eyes Only was Ian Fleming’s first collection of short stories and 9th in his James Bond series, and published by Jonathan Cape on 11 April 1960 and cost fifteen shillings to buy. 21,712 copies were printed and quickly sold out. The collection contains five short stories: "From a View to a Kill", "For Your Eyes Only", "Quantum of Solace", "Risico" and "The Hildebrand Rarity". What would you think if they ever decided to change the title of Bond 25 to the Hildebrand Rarity?

Given the recent 50th year celebration at Pix Gloria, thought I'd share one of my first editions.
On Her Majesty's Secret Service was the tenth novel in Ian Fleming's James Bond series. This was first published in the UK by Jonathan Cape on 1 April 1963 and sold for 16 shillings. The initial (42,000) and secondary print (18,000) runs sold out within a month, with over 60,000 books. Fleming wrote this novel in Jamaica whilst Dr. No was being filmed nearby.
OHMSS is the second book in the Blofeld trilogy", which begins with Thunderball and concluded with You Only Live Twice, and is best known for Bond’s short lived marriage to Contessa Teresa "Tracy" di Vicenzo, brilliantly played by Diana Rigg in the movie version.
Artist Richard Chopping designed the cover art for the first edition.

One of the greatest Bond collectables for sure.

This 1976 version of the Corgi James Bond Aston Martin DB5 ( #270 ) was built to a scale of 1/43. Whilst it is very similar to its predecessors (this was the fourth version) cost cutting meant that this version was released with fixed numberplates and no tyre slashers. The car still retained all the gadgets from the original 1965 model though.
In addition to these changes, the metal spoke wheels and rubber tyres were replaced and molded plastic took their place with a plated centre giving the appearance of a separate wheel.
The1976 box contained no “Secret Instructions” like its predecessors, and were printed on the rear side of the box instead.
I’ve posted a number of my other Corgi Aston Martin cars in the past. I’m wondering which version would be your favourite?

Heineken's association with the James Bond film franchise dates back to 1997's 'Tomorrow Never Dies', and have released an impressive number of collectables over the years.
I don’t drink alcohol myself and sadly never collected any of the drinks they released (doh), but have managed to find some of their coasters.
With Bond 25 to be released soon there are a lot of people are eagerly awaiting the release of promotions from companies like Heineken. This will certainly being held up by the fact there is no working title, and one also has to wonder whether Daniel Craig’s operation to his foot will impact his availability to shoot any promotional videos for any of their sponsors on such a tight production schedule.
Shatterhand, was one title thrown around by fans as a title. In light of recent events do you reckon Shatterfoot might be a bit more appropriate title?

All right! It’s time to get (slowly) back to business as usual. 😂
I’m still on something of a high from the extremely enjoyable @orlebarbrown 007 collection, so I figure I would take the opportunity and post about a piece I would love to see them make: the shirt-jacket #timothydalton wore in #licensetokill ———————————————————————————
My take on that piece here is with an OB blazer, linen shirt and chinos, and @soludos espadrilles.
Actually, even his shirt in that outfit was pretty fascinating and would make a good option for their next collection. ———————————————————————————
Couple thoughts like that with discussions with other Bond fans about what they should do next and I feel like the only right thing to do at this point is give my full opinion about just what pieces they could/should and I hope to god they do next! 😂
So, I’m working on a 3-part YouTube video series discussing just that. The first video will be up later today, with two more to follow over the next three days.
Let’s think of it as my way of decompressing from the 12 days of Bond or probably just my way of getting it all to last just a little bit longer 😊.
Hope you guys enjoy. The video will be up soon. Until then, happy #sunday y’all! Let’s make it a damn good one! 😍💪🏼❤️
