This prompt was drain. It's also a self portrait. After a tough week, hard workouts, and a stressful weekend, I felt...well, drained. I often feel this way, expecially after socializing, fake smiling all day, and trying to be a good human example. I often find that I've overextended myself after work or at the gym. It sucks because I often make grand plans only to hate myself for making them when the time comes to do the things I've planned. It is an awful feeling. #inktober#inktober2018#human#anxiety#introvert#psychology#selfie#selfportrait

I have always been an introvert. But life forced me to be an extrovert. In leadership positions and trying to be great at life I had to come out of my “turtle shell” so often. But deep down I really miss myself. #introvert#love#fun#confessions#funny
We’ve been on the go for two days straight, my house is a wreck and laundry is steady piling up. If you need me, I’ll be handling that mess tomorrow. Oh, and eating @traderjoes cookie butter since we had to drive to that area to get Eleanor a new pair of boots (her old ones were a bit snug, and the temperature dropped here) we went to TJ’s too 🙌🏼 Hope you had a happy Monday! — PS don’t forget there’s a $100 giveaway going on at the link in my bio! You don’t want to miss out on that ♥️
Hopefully y’all know by now that I believe in being intentional with our health in all areas—not just exercising and eating well. I believe our physical, spiritual, mental, and emotional health are all related and all important.
Thankfully, the ladies on my team believe that too! That’s why we’ve decided to do a book study over “Cultivate: A Grace-Filled Guide to Growing an Intentional Life” by Laura Casey. I’ve been wanting to read this book for a long time, so I’m super excited to get to do it with so many like-minded friends!
We’ll be taking the book slowly (just a chapter a week) and having optional zoom calls every couple weeks to discuss what we’re learning face-to-face. Want to join us? As someone who has struggled with finding community in several seasons of my life, I think this is a great opportunity to have fellowship with other believers if you’re missing that in your daily life right now.
We’re starting this week, but will just be covering the introduction to give everyone time to get their books. Comment below if you want to join us and I’ll send you an invite to the group!
After days like today I have to ask myself....am I taking my health for granted? Or am I taking advantage of the blessings God has give me?
I don’t *have to* workout and eat right...I *get to* workout and eat right.
It’s not a punishment.
It’s a celebration.
This is the time of year that I usually slack y’all. I say to myself...well the holidays are coming up with all the comfort food and then the new year is soon and I know I’ll dial it back in then....
It’s time to change that mentality y’all. It’s time to find our own b a l a n c e and take care of ourselves all the time instead of just sometimes.
The rates people are getting cancer and heart disease and all those terrible things continues to rise. But what if we started getting ahead of it? What if we prevented it instead of just treating it after it happens? Seriously something to think about you guys. 💬
It’s not all about looking good, being skinny, or building muscle...it’s about getting healthy from the inside out so you can l i v e. 🌿
I have a three week Turkey Prep Bootcamp (all online) starting on Monday and I want to help you start taking care of the body God gave you. You’re here for a reason, you have a purpose. But you’ve got to be here in order to fulfill it.
Leave your favorite emoji below and tag three friends who you want to do this with you. Let’s start writing a new ending to your story. ✨🧡

Don’t judge! When evening strikes, so does the urge to have a 😛snack.
I often want to reach for chips or something chocolate 😬🍪, but it’s nice to have a healthier option!!! Sure, there’s tons of things out there claiming to be “healthy”, low calorie, low fat, etc... but so many of them have artificial sweeteners and additives; not this one!
SO many people struggle with nutrition because they just love their sweets! 🍪 Well, this is a chance to have something yummy delicious without the guilt attached! 😋
Do you have an evening snack that is a healthier option that you use?
The choices you make today create the future you will experience tomorrow.
Just like the choices you made 6 months, 1yr or 5yrs ago that got you to where you are right now.
So if you want to experience a different life in the future in any aspect of your life, all you have to is start making different and hopefully better choices...
“Solitude matters, and for some people, it’s the air they breathe” ~Susan Cain
For a long time after beginning to stay home with our kids, I thought I needed time away to recharge. I thought time with friends and out in the world would fill me up.
What I’ve come to learn is I cannot function well for long without time alone with God. I’ve also learned it’s to my detriment and to those around me to even try.
When I spend too many days in a row with people without adequate time alone, even my favorite people, I get overwhelmed.
In those moments, it feels hard to extend or receive grace. My words get sharp and sometimes I feel an unusual amount of anxiety when the kids are wild or upset, or in any social situations.
I’m so thankful God is working to teach me what I need to recharge and persevere. God is teaching me to withdraw and seek Him first before friends, family, shopping or even coffee (Although coffee and time with God go well together ☺️).
It takes discipline and sometimes surrendering sleep in order to carve out time to recharge. But it can’t be skipped.
Tell me, what do you need to recharge and rest?
Brain dump ~ I have journalled for years. I have books and books and books of hand written words, notes, lists and ramblings. Being introverted by nature I can sometimes find it difficult to verbalise my thoughts but can put pen to paper and express them with ease. My family actually tease me for my list making ~ I will make a list of just about anything and everything. Writing helps me find perspective and gain clarity & I highly recommend it as a healing tool xx
😂😂💯 and please do not ask me to reverse in and certainly 🙅🏽♀️ under no circumstance ask me to parallel park (you’ll only end up recording it dead 💀 weak in the background on the verge of tears and blast me to America’s funniest videos) #iparkinthebackofparkinglots🙈 #trynnasavebothourcars🤦🏽♀️
Never Miss a Monday!

Full of family, friends and fun.
We celebrated birthdays and a beautiful wedding.
No matter how busy it is...don't forget to pause and enjoy it!
And remember to take care of you!
