MEET THE TEAM
Managing Director, Ann Manning, is a professional businesswoman with over 30 years' experience in the Insurance Broking Industry. "I started MANNINGUK in 1984 to provide a professional, competitive and "easy-to-do-business-with" service to all my clients however large or small - this is a philosophy still applies 31 years later.
I am told I am a workaholic and have a very high standard which can make me quite difficult to work for, but I firmly believe standards and tradition should be maintained in all walks of life. I also believe as we spend more waking hours with our colleagues than family it is important to care and support each other. I am proud to be a Freeman of the City of London and an active member of The Worshipful Company of Insurers. I was also nominated and was presented with the Sue Ryder Woman of Achievement Award for the Community in February 2018. An award I am extremely proud of especially as there were many women in the category who were far more worthy than I.
MANNINGUK is involved in various sponsorships from Woodley Festival of Music and Arts, Henley Festival, football teams and racing cars. I personally take sponsorship seriously and am actively involved. The Woodley Festival encourages young people to develop their speech, acting ability and also musical talent. It is a pleasure to hear and see young people partaking in the Festival and to hear proper diction!
I have been a Magistrate since 1988 and sit on the Berkshire Bench with all that entails. As regards hobbies I love the theatre, polo, entertaining and anything connected with water. My ambition to have a picture included in the Summer Exhibition at the Royal Academy of Arts." #WednesdayWisdom#teamworkmakesthedreamwork#insurance#henleyonthames#insurancebroker#insurancesurgery#100facesofhenley#sueryderwomenofacheivement#community#supportlocalbusiness#supportlocal
Typically, credit utilization is calculated based on your total outstanding balances compared to your total credit limit across all of your cards, and lines of credit. However, some scoring models penalize you for exceeding 30% utilization on any single card or line of credit. For example: If you have a credit card with a $1000 limit, you would try to keep the balance on it between $100-$300. The best rule of thumb is to keep your balance below 30% on all of your cards at all times to kill two birds with one stone.

One of the hardest decisions you may have to make is to continue ..or walk away
The work never stops! Now 'vacation' has a different meaning. A vacation has become a time to move my office to a different location. It's a time to network with new people from that location, build relationships and show them the possibilities that this life has to offer. Vacations are even better than before because now I don't feel guilty about leaving work behind for a week. I don't feel that knot in my stomach because of all the work that's been piling up over that time. Work follows me wherever I go. The grind never stops!⠀
Always have that attitude, you may be on vacation or taking time off but there's always opportunity to grow, whether it be in your own work or in your personal development.
Whether you are @sonypictures or operating a small one-person studio, you'll never be truly protected without Cyber Insurance. Get a quote in 2 minutes (link in bio).

Pay-as-you-drive, telematics and usage-based insurance are all terms used for programs that offer drivers the option of having premiums tailored to their individual driving patterns.
The programs give drivers a financial incentive to drive less and, depending on the information that is monitored, to drive more carefully. The more positively they react to the incentive, the less they pay for their auto insurance. (With commercial programs, the fleet owner benefits through a lower premium.)
At their simplest, usage-based programs record the actual miles driven, offering those who drive less than average a lower rate.
A growing number of auto insurers are offering more complex programs that also take driving behavior into account - if this is something you want to try give me a call!

Don’t you sometimes wish you had a translator for insurance jargon?
At H&L, we aim to make insurance understandable. This week, we will elaborate on some of the terms we use in the industry.
Insured perils are incidents that cause loss or damage to the insured property. These are defined in the policy wording and must occur in order for a claim to be valid. Examples are earthquakes, fires, floods, collisions and storms.
