You won't see hot German girls lathering their BMWs either on TV or in real life because here is a fun fact about Germany: You cannot wash your own car. It's prohibited. Yes! Not even if it's parked in your driveway. This rule has to do with preventing contamination of ground water. Car washes are open Mon - Sat and utilise only 10 % of water while the rest is recycled run - off from previous washes. #funfacts#carsofinstagram#livehere#germany 🇩🇪 #bavaria#bayern#minga#instagermany#instaeurope#outdoors
I used to live in the City Center of Zagreb for 3 years in a 19th century townhouse, built during 1830's. According to the owner, it's the oldest surviving common residence in Zagreb and is thus classified as a cultural heritage. The medeival walls of the city run underneath it and allegedly they are still somewhat preserved. Although living 5 minutes of walking distance from the Main Ban Jelacic Square has its perks, like being close to heritage sites like this funicular that connects the upper oldtown and the lower center of the city, I am far more happier living outside the Center in a neighbourhood that feels more intimate. The Center is so elite they forget people live there: the essentials are there, yes, but they are far more expensive and every time some foreign government official decides to pop in, the streets are immediately closed. And it always feels crowdy, noisy, you never seem to get that piece and quiet you sometimes really need because someone is always talking loudly on the streets and cars are always frantically passing by. In newer parts of the city there are little urban organisms: residential areas usually accompanied with public green spaces, a post office, a pharmacy, ATMs, bakeries, hardware and supply stores, hairdressers, small family markets and usually at least one big chain supermarket. Public transport is nearby but it flows around it, not through it like in the City Center so it's quieter, and you can access Your home by foot which doesn't really take long, or by a car, even though you really don't need it because everything is nearby.

"And the serpent said unto the woman, Ye shall not surely die: For God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil."
Deviating from my usual underwater picture but I am just endlessly fascinated by this church and the tangled serpents statue in front of it. Managed to get the whole building in frame thanks to #galaxys10 ultra wide angle. #adventureonfoot#historicbratislava#bratislava#instatravel#instaeurope#worldplaces
It was supposed to be a perfect copy of Athen's Parthenon, but this is all that came out of it, due to budget reasons.
These pillars look impressive on top of Cartlon Hill, Edinburgh. You can see them from everywhere in the city, and they really give the feeling of some legendary spot in Ancient Greece.
It's interesting that the Scots have a National Monument based on Greece's most iconic ancient temple. Edinburgh's vivid 19th Century Romantic culture was deeply influenced by Greek-Roman heritage, like in other European nations. This is what we call Europe. Never forget who you are and where you come from.
Please may this be life right now!? Just over 5 weeks until my summer adventures begin; Malta, Verona, Faro, Frankfurt and moving to Egypt! 💃 #SeeTheWorld#WanderLust#NeverStopExploring
