Congratulations and best wishes to T-73 on the arrival of her new cubs.
T-73, the daughter of T-17 Sundari, has been photographed with her second litter of 3 cubs on camera traps set in the non-tourist regions of the Ranthambore National Park, where forest officials have increased measures to give the family extra protection.
Green Bee-eater bird in a bush next to its cliff nest.
Bee-eaters occur over wide range, extending all the way from Europe to Australia. They are characterized by colourful plumage that is predominantly green, and have a relatively long and pointed beak that helps them in nest building.
It is a great mode of chemical communication that happens in tigers.
When do they do the Flehmen?
A Flehmen response is one of the unique behaviours of tigers to identify different individuals.
Example: If there is a young transient tiger looking for a territory and tries to take over by spraying.
The real owner or the dominant tiger, sniffs the scent of the transient tiger and does the flehmen in order to know the age, if its a male or a female tiger, a receptive female or a female with cubs etc.
