Thali (meaning "plate") is an Indian-style meal made up of a selection of various dishes, which are served on a platter. The idea behind a Thali is to offer all the 6 different flavors of sweet, salt, bitter, sour, astringent, and spicy on one single plate (technically the last two are actually forms of chemesthesis rather than true flavors). According to Indian food custom, a proper meal should be a perfect balance of all these 6 flavors.
Pictured here is a Gujarati-style, vegetarian Thali that has multiple vegetables, daal/lentils, papad, roti, rice, and sweets. 😋
Have you ever enjoyed a Thali? 🙂 #indianfood
So, there are hell lot of books to choose from and I go for 'The Cupcake Diaries' (ofc, b'coz it sounds so cute and cake-y).
Moving on, we order a chocolate vanilla caramel cake and they forget serving that very item but add it to the bill yet....... aaaand yeah just LOL :)
PS: In the meantime, @deepanshu_giri sits doing the cranky chit chat while @_a_n_u_r_a_g__ and I invariably troll her.
